High School Diplomas vs. GEDs: Do Employers Care? {Careers Articles}

Nov 6th 2009 8:22PM Darn, It's always somebody else's fault. If Dad hadn't made you go to high school you might be president instead of unemployed.

High School Diplomas vs. GEDs: Do Employers Care? {Careers Articles}

Nov 6th 2009 8:17PM Doug, you didn't fall through the cracks, you didn't fail, you worked and eventually overcame you disability and got your GED. You didn't graduate for being lazy, or for taking drugs. Besides twenty nine or fifty doesn't matter, what matters is you didn't just quit, you succeeded. But you are right, there are some circumstances beyond our control that can prevent us from graduating at 18 or 19. Thanks for reminding me of this.

The Obamas on Fitness and Health Care {That's Fit}

Sep 9th 2009 7:12PM Please, the high cost of eating healthy? Don't you mean eating healthy requires work and time rather than just driving thru Taco Bell.

Frozen veggies; brussle sprouts, brocolli, carrots, peas & beans are very inexpensive especially using the house brands. You can even grow your own in a small garden, green beans, carrots, peas and more. Potatos are cheap too. Meat is the most expensive item but you can usually find good sales. It just take work.

The Obamas on Fitness and Health Care {That's Fit}

Sep 9th 2009 6:58PM Come on, enough with the Obama worship. Michelle although attractive is not exactly fit and trim. She's 20% overweight, her thighs and ankles are excessively large in comparison to the rest of her body. While she might be considered in good shape cardio wise but fit and/or trim she's not and she's no Jackie O.

President Obama on the other hand is too thin. Here again his heart and lungs might be good (except for smoking) but he lacks muscle in his upper body. The Pres is more at home reading a book. George W Bush who is 14 years older than Obama is in much better condition, but the press never fawned over him. Bush would run five miles a day, chop wood and dig post holes for six hours in the Texas heat.

We should all demand that Congress and the president be required to live with the exact same healthcare they assign to us. This would be the only demand we would need to assure we get the best healthcare available. CALL CONGRESS NOW AND DEMAND THE SAME HEALTHCARE THEY HAVE.

Reba McEntire Keeps on Loving Gay Fans, Too {The Boot}

Aug 23rd 2009 12:44AM Reba, you're a great singer and a good person but it's not for you to decide the Bibles meanings. I have felt that its Gays who do most of the judging these days. Christians are the most villified persons on earth. I could care less if someone wants to be gay but don't penalize me because I disagree. Everyone's opinions should count the same.

Senate votes to extend 'Cash for Clunkers' program {Daily Finance}

Aug 6th 2009 9:22PM This program was supposed to run until the end of August but ran out of money in three weeks. Dealers are complaining of not receiving any payments for the clunkers they've credited customers $4500 for, leaving them in the hole for hundreds of thousands of dollars, Many dealers are going to go broke waiting for their rebate checks from the government. If the government can't even run a $1 billion dollar program like this how can we expect them to run our Health Care System. It's time to get Obama and the Democrats out of Washington for good. They are bankrupting the future and making wards of the State like Communists.

Living wage: The salvation of the retail economy {Daily Finance}

Jul 17th 2009 6:04PM Why can't liberals understand when you raise wages companies cut back the number of employees and raise prices. Living Wages won't save retail, instead it will kill it. Small retailers will go out of business, they will cut back employees to the bone and over work the few they have left. The quality of service will suffer and customers will become agitated. In addition theft will increase as there are fewer employees to watch the customers. You must allow the market to dictate wages.

Eraser Killers -- Men Who Make Women Disappear {Lemondrop}

Jul 16th 2009 10:45PM Sounds like deja vu to me. I fell while jogging one night and broke my left ankle. My wife of 16 years came to the hospital and took my house key and that was the last I ever saw the house or her. She had me arrested for supposedly breaking into the house. I was in bed and couldn't walk. She had a friend in the DA's office and her first ex husband was a Cop. I went to jail for 6 months and ended up having my leg amputated. She got the house, and everything but $5,000. I got $20,000 in attorney fees.

Congresswoman: Jacko's No Pervert {Politics Daily}

Jul 7th 2009 6:10PM Sheila Jackson Lee once again proves her ignorance about the Constitution and the Law. Rep. King wasn't convicting Michael in a Court of Law, so innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply. Rep. King was simply stating a personal opinion about Michael Jackson based on numerous news reports. What Rep. King did falls under The First Amendment, free speech. I would bet a million dollars Sheila Lee has never read the Constitution, if she has she wouldn't support so many unconstitutional laws like Hate Crimes and affirmative action. Rep. Lee we have 11% unemployment in America, why are you wasting my time and money at a tribute to Michael Jackson?
