Video of the day: New York City 1938 {Gadling}
Jan 14th 2012 10:36AM One correction. The bull statue isn't actually on Wall Street, or anywhere near it. It's at Bowling Green, about a 1/4 mile down Broadway. As for the #1 attraction, I've lived in NY my whole life and have never been to the Statue of Liberty. This is common with NYers. If you didn't go to the Statue on a school trip, there's a good chance you'll never get there.

Mar 6th 2011 7:53PM I'm not a grammar geek myself, and I make plenty of mistakes, but the one that drives me crazy is when people say something like "I walked in the room" when they mean "I walked into the room". These two sentences have completely different meanings, yet some people use them interchangeably. When you say "I walked in the room", it means you were already in the room and you walked around in it. When you say "I walked into the room" it means you were in a different room and you went from that room into the room. In and into are two different words with completely different meanings, only students don't seem to learn this in school.
