Teens can't trick-or-treat in this Illinois town {ParentDish}

Oct 26th 2008 3:20PM I can see both points of view. I think teens should be able to trick or treat if they follow the rules. Any kids ringing door bells to houses without light or clearly after the allowed time and also any teenage candy thief (parents since children are minors) should be fined. They should think first; why make a law just to make it? This might reduce crazy teen parties and just trick or treat instead.

How can you tell if a person dressed up is in 8th or 9th grade? Some older people look younger and vice versa; and with costumes who knows? Are cops going to randomly be checking school IDs? I think this is going a little too far and ruins the spirit of Halloween. Leave it to the government to ruin anything and everything they want; and I lean left (democratic).

Football-stealing granny gets a pass {ParentDish}

Oct 26th 2008 2:44PM Holy $#*! did this really happen? Was this a publicity stunt? A joke, right? From what I read, this world is better off without this old bag of bones. Don't jump to conclusions, read below.

Sorry but I'm an honest guy and I speak whats on my mind. If this happened everyday and Jester spoke to the parents and/or children I 100% agree with her ... but from what I read it was without warning just once and she kept the football, thats just mean.

One day a father was bonding with his son playing catch with a football. Paul Tanis the father accidentally overthrew a pass into the neighbors yard. He went to ask for the ball and the neighbor replied "if you want it call the police." He did just that, the cops came and she still wouldn't return the ball. Have you ever made a small misjudgment? Put yourself in his shoes, what would you do?

I just don't understand her problem! She could have talked to the father about "if this happens again" or "I'm going to keep this ball until my flower garden is fixed (hinting the father/child help)" or something along those lines. Things are going to go into neighbors yards until the end of time and being a b*tch doesn't teach manners or responsibility.

This old lady having a lot of friends backing her up just goes to show how bad society is OR maybe the whole story is not being told. I'm thinking society is getting worse just like the economy but I would like to be proved wrong.

JetBlue crew has woman arrested over video of fighting passengers {Gadling}

Aug 17th 2008 12:16PM Louie, you sir are a DUMBASS (ever see That 70s show?). Yeah thats right, I called you a DUMBASS!

If you were being mugged in an alley and someone recorded the video, would you want the culprit to be caught or your possessions back? Just wondering.

Marilyn Parver was just being a good citizen and trying to bring a sense of justice to the situation. Most youtube people don't mention their recordings and just post them. I'm sure she wasn't going to post this anywhere. The crew made poor choices how to handle the situation. She should win a settlement but not an excessive amount; enough to make Jetblue react better in these type of situations.

I agree, being recorded without knowledge is a violation of privacy but she told people so the passengers obviously knew of the video. I'm sure if either party in the altercation asked her to delete the video for privacy I'm sure she would out of respect. If anyone were to ask her to delete the video it would be the ones involved in the altercation; not anyone from Jetblue or TSA or even police. No crime was committed unless abusing your power is a crime. I mean c'mon, a video of a child kicking a guys chair and he argues wit the mom? Big deal.

I have never flown and will NEVER fly Jetblue. I am a Business and Leisure travel agent and I can honestly say I will NEVER in my lifetime voluntarily book anyone on Jetblue EVER.

Nothing personal Louie I just think you're not seeing the whole picture.

Airport reminder: Do not check-in people! {Gadling}

Jul 27th 2008 8:48PM Its nice they didn't press charges. I was going to assume with todays society they would be sued to the full extent of the law. All airlines should be checking luggage at every airport every time for dwarfs; or "little people" to be politically correct (and other things of course). This was something they were obviously not going to get away with but if they did then the airline would look really bad. Just goes to show the airline can take a joke (no matter how NOT FUNNY) while doing standard procedures.
