The Perks of Brewing Versus Buying Coffee -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}

Jan 27th 2011 3:21PM Trader Joe's coffee - ground & whole bean - is cheaper than the article prices coffee at & MUCH better, IMO. MY favorites are:
D'aquino, Trader Joe's Costa Rican blend, & Trader Joe's Breakfast Blend (medium bold). Some of them aren't great, but there's a variety to choose from.

Giorgio Armani Thinks American Women's Perfume is Too Strong {Stylelist}

May 28th 2009 12:42AM Pffft, please. 1-2 light spritz of any perfume is not over doing it. I wear both Angel & Obsession in winter & some people have actually mistakenly thought I don't wear any fragrance. You have to be very close to me to smell me, as it should be.
I rarely smell a person from any distance, and I think this stereotype is greatly exaggerated.

The French & Italians are the ones with the rep for having poor personal hygiene and having to douse themselves in fragrance to mask their nasty body odor. Seems like he's trying to deflect that rep onto Americans - nice try!

Baby Boomers Quitting Facebook {Switched}

May 27th 2009 5:13PM It's those stupid applications. I am young & facebook annoys me. The interface is crowded & ugly. I actually prefer myspace, but people are less into social networking lately.

Bad Songs by Good Bands: No. 20 {Spinner}

Dec 31st 2008 2:25AM This is not a rap song...and this is a good song. The way she sings this song is awesome...the rap part is so-so, but it's supposed to be goofy & fun.

Readers' 20 Worst Lyrics Ever: No. 8 {Spinner}

Dec 31st 2008 2:19AM People take lyrics too literally...this is not literal. I like the simplicity of these lyrics...and it is NOT about drawing a yellow line.

Kate Moss - aging just like the rest of us mortals {Stylelist}

Nov 3rd 2008 8:52PM Foundation, concealer & bronzer sure go a loooong way. She does have great structure & features, but she hasn't taken care of her skin. Imagine how pretty she'd be if she had lived a better lifestyle.... This isn't just age, this is cigarettes, booze, drugs, promiscuity, and partying.

Target ordered to pay woman $3.1 million {WalletPop}

Oct 25th 2008 10:34PM WRONG. Those particular Target employees DID NOT know how to remove an item from the registry when asked. Both my gift givers told me this. They also were not offered a gift receipt and forgot to ask. It is the store's responsibility to provide service, the customer should not have to remind them how to do their job.
The item was a mere $40 and I had returned nothing to any Target store in many years. There shouldn't have been any issue to take back an unopened item that is clearly a gift and give me store credit.
A registry is NOT a courtesy of the store either. You think they do it to be nice? It brings them business!!! I brought them hundreds & hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars in business. I showed them my gift registry and they could see many things bought on it & see the item I wanted to return as listed. So it was clear I was not a person taking advantage of anything, yet they still treated me very poorly. The way they spoked & acted was hideously rude. The fact of the matter is, I AM THE CUSTOMER, and I was asking for something very simple and reasonable.
Their customer service is DISGUSTING and UNREASONABLE.

Target ordered to pay woman $3.1 million {WalletPop}

Oct 25th 2008 10:24PM I know because my gift givers TOLD ME that the employees didn't know how to remove it.
I wasn't asking for cash back...I only wanted store credit. The item was unopened & a mere $40 value. I showed them the item on my registry and explained it all clearly, so I was not some random person trying to get cash for a stolen item. It's clear that I had registered with them, & I had received many gifts from my registry.
The point is, they were UNREASONABLE. This is bad customer service; my gift givers did nothing wrong & it is ridiculous to blame the customer in a situation like this. By registering with Target, I brought them a lot of business & they threw it in my face.
