I did not know that Ben Franklin left his wife and children behind when he went to France and stayed there for over a decade! He even had a mistress in France that he lived with. These were not short jaunts across the Atlantic.

Feb 20th 2011 2:24PM I am the mom of 2 kids. My oldest son has ADHD which was evident at 18 months and diagnosed at 4.5. He too had a great deal of difficulty with social situations along the way. He is now a college freshman. He has a handful of friends but still struggles with regular organizational skills. He is getting assistance at college with organizing his studies and is working towards making strides in social settings. I am proud of all of the wonderful things that he has done this year for himself. A big leap of faith for all of us. Prayer, trust and patience. It will get better. We tried many different approaches to managing the ADHD and fiund that medication really helped him cope the most.

Feb 17th 2011 4:51PM Go directly to TJ MAxx, Marshalls or any other off price place. Do not spend money on luggage. I did and will never do it again. The bags get wrecked and it is next to impossible to get money back from the airlines. This is a place to save.

Feb 3rd 2011 7:13AM These are all good ideas BUT sometimes you just need to see a doctor and start on medication. Please do not try and convince someone that just they can think themselves well when what they really might need medication. Depression is an illness and needs to be treated with the help of a doctor. Be well.

People with ADHD are more prone to addiction. They do not know what is wrong and so they try to self medicate with drugs/alcohol. You might want to look into this issue. It would make life a whole lot easier for you. Be well.
