Ramblings - Part 1 Sports. {Blog Maverick}

Jan 31st 2007 7:32AM Yeah, I understand the media section. But sports journalism is not meant to just report the sport; it is meant to promote the sport. It is the job of the journalist to apply their talent to selling the sport. It is after all only entertainment. So why should they be worried about a pink slip? They are in the business of marketing and with that comes high margins and high risk. Otherwise they should go get a government job.

Computer to TV ? .Shouldn't it be the Other Way ? {Blog Maverick}

Jan 20th 2007 12:36PM Control is a device of the previous generations. It will not work on ours. PC will prevail over TV.

Thoughts on the NBA Fines handed out today {Blog Maverick}

Dec 19th 2006 1:32AM The whole point should be to set an example for professional sportsmanship, which would mean having a zero tolerance level for unsportsmanlike conduct. Fines aren't enough. Suspensions are in the right direction. For example, Tyson never fighting again is what I believe we should hold as a standard for severe violations.

Googlenomics , Itunes and Zune {Blog Maverick}

Dec 13th 2006 5:59PM That is just the nature of competition, which would make the already great Apple products even better for cheaper. And I really don't mind that Microsoft foots the bill on that one...

Getting Out of Quicksand {Gadling}

Dec 13th 2006 4:40AM Movies exaggerate, though you can still get in trouble if you are not careful. I've stepped in a 1/2 foot of quicksand, but I can't imagine if it were deeper than I am tall.

Congratulations to the RIAA legal team {The Digital Music Weblog}

Dec 13th 2006 4:17AM God I hate the RIAA. But this outlash is against the RIAA, not the music corps that hire them. It's like we are beating a temporary scape goat. It's like Poland being a buffer state for Russia.
