Washington DC's National Cherry Blossom Festival 2011: What you need to know {Gadling}

Apr 4th 2011 1:14AM I think it's pretty embarrassing that I've been living in maryland for almost ten years and have never actually been to see the Cherry blossom festival in DC. I guess I just figured why go see a bunch of trees that are all around my neighborhood, the school campus and on my daily route to work/ school etc.... basically everywhere...It has just become one of those things that I always tell my self I will do next year and somehow it always ends up being the next one after that... Once again ,I am swamped with projects, essays and exams so I guess I will be missing it again this year...who knows, maybe next year? :))

but this article was great because it gave a great guide as to pitfalls to avoid and tips to enjoy the festival as experienced cherry blossom lovers...great job! thank you for making me feel even guiltier for not going! Its the fuel I need...and one day I will go :))

New Livescribe app adds Wikipedia to your pen {Gadling}

Mar 9th 2011 2:11AM OMG am I the only who is not aware that a technology like this exists...this is so amazing...What a revolutionary idea...Obviously this is only the beginning in this technology and I am sure Apple or some high-tech genius company will soon come up with version of this where the definition will be projected in the air or something...But the idea is phenomenal... Big ups to Echo!...

Las Vegas to get a London Eye-like Ferris wheel & amusement park {Gadling}

Mar 6th 2011 11:15PM Lol John, thank you for those informative yet entertaining comments. I especially giggled at the CSI part because it is true. I do not know much about the history of amusement parks, Ferris wheel or Las Vegas for that matter, but somehow these so called efforts to make it a more family-friendly environment don't fit right in my mind. I think that authorities need to stop making every city or town somehow similar to another one, or available to all kinds of people. Some places have a certain persona, certain appeal to specific demographics or characters. Vegas is all about the games, the glamour, the flashy nightlife... Vegas has a target audience and I don't think it should be altered.

Egypt back in the tourist business: all ancient sites reopening tomorrow {Gadling}

Feb 20th 2011 10:01PM I think that the Egyptians are brave people, and its shameful for them to have been through such unfortunate events, but I think that as citizen's of the world, the best way support them is by visiting this beautiful country without any prejudice or fear. I believe in the people of Egypt!

SkyMall Monday: Products rejected by Skymall {Gadling}

Feb 14th 2011 6:18PM Oh my God!!!

Where to start... first of all I can't believe that these people would even attempt putting their products on SkyMall, let alone I can't believe they came up with these weird gadgets. All three of these products are so ridiculous I can't believe they exist. Who would invest in a barf bag called "Chuck the Yuck"? And why would anyone in their right mind buy one? why do you need to make hot dogs look cute? and somebody please explain to me what in the world is going on with this GoGirl s***?

I agree completely with the author. There are reasons why these things are not on SkyMall and not in any of our lives (not in anyones I know at least). And good point about the europeans keeping thins alive btw... :))

Ten destinations to skip in 2011 {Gadling}

Jan 31st 2011 12:08AM What a creative idea to make a list of places to avoid...i love it...

It's funny they mention "anything disney"...somehow these sacred lands for children tend to get a lot of criticisim from social scientists, rhetoricians and philosophers... Maybe it's because they so brightly highlight the general theme of consumerism that is America's back bone.
