10 Smartphone Apps For Business Travelers {Gadling}
Sep 17th 2012 12:56AM Thank you for the great article Jessica, I am always looking for ways to reduce stress when I’m traveling. You have quite a few apps detailed here that would be great for me on my business trips for Dish; I am always looking for more ways to better my chances in an unfamiliar city. I have found that in addition productivity tools, the burdens of travel can be taking on my mind. I’ve been using Dish Remote Access, which gives me access to movies and TV directly from my DVR; it’s perfect for incidents during my trip that cause me stress. Watching a movie is always a nice distraction, but learning new ideas is helpful; have you used any entertainment apps?
Hearty Adventure Travelers Find Food With Phone Apps {Gadling}
Jun 29th 2012 1:10AM Perfect for my team and me; a majority of us get together and work out after a long day anyway. Recently we have been assigned a greater challenge, which will involve traveling on business more frequently for Dish. This gave me the idea that we could build our cores up while we are kicking butt as a team to help us continue to be healthy. I have found Eat Well for Business as a personal nutrition guide is awesome as well as Dish Remote Access for hotel treadmills. I have always found that distracting part of my brain during endurance training is a key element; watching a movie with visual aid works fantastic.
10 Apps To Help Pass The Time On Long Journeys {Gadling}
May 23rd 2012 12:05AM I can definitely say I am jealous of your location, because I travel, but not for pleasure. Frequently, I sneak off on little side adventures to explore, but it’s not quite the same as traveling abroad. The Kindle app is amazing for long plane rides, especially for me, as I love to read while on business for Dish. A couple of my fun, favorites are Angry Birds, time passes and I don’t even notice, and Dish Remote Access as a consistent means of getting live TV on my iPad, which is especially important with the Olympics coming up. There are some apps here that I have not seen and sound cool, thank you.
Travel Smarter 2012: Travel apps help you explore like a local {Gadling}
Mar 13th 2012 11:04PM Traveling for work is a risky business if I do not have some fantastic cost efficient apps by my side I am just asking for disaster. I’ve used Goby and Yelp on my Dish related business trips and they are awesome both for work and for off-hour adventures. Every traveler should have these apps on her phone or preferred mobile device. I always have a relaxation device on my iPad my favorite being Dish Remote Access due to the access to dishonline that offers movies galore which is a welcome breath of fresh air. My sling adapter is awesome as it sits hanging out with my DVR and internet connection making all this possible. It is like adding the helpfulness of meditation to stressful traveling. I would agree with getting as much insider information as possible in whatever city I’m in, it’s such a great help and gives me extra off-hour outings.
Tips for Packers fans going to the Super Bowl {Gadling}
Jan 31st 2011 8:51PM Wow, great article! I wish I could afford to head down to TX for the Packers Super Bowl Victory, yes i am a wishful thinker but I have full confidence in my team! I will however be at home watching and I'll be better off then some because I do have HD and I do have a pretty nice size screen. I work for Dish Network and that is a plus when it comes to getting all the information I need to set up my entertainment room. As a consumer I called in and found out that I qualified for a free upgrade which gave me an upgrade to HD of all my pre-existing equipment. I was also happily accepted into the free HD for life promotion so I no longer have to pay monthly for my HD programming. That's huge to us, we spend a lot of time between the two of us watching our HD channels especially our Fox Sport Networks, multiple ESPN channels and above all our champs the Packers this weekend. I would still be happy watching the game but it is a whole different experience with HD and I'm really happy to be a part of the Wisconsin spirit even if I am at home.
Google TV jailbroken -- underlying Android system exposed {Download Squad}
Jan 13th 2011 6:26PM The Dish Network Logitech Revue is quite an amazing little tool which I got through a work contest. I am really digging hanging out on the couch surfing the internet on my 48 inch TV. I think this technology is amazing and it is out there to be had if you are looking to get Google TV. I have a lot of friends I've met online only because I am a insomniac, can't be helped. These folks are up and typing away keeping me company which is comforting, at the same time I can watch TV or something I have recorded on the same screen. Pretty cool stuff!
