Jan 23rd 2011 7:10AM It happens every year again... Bad weather or technical problems keep travelers waiting in Lukla or Kathmandu for one or more days. It's a very wise idea to take that into account if you're heading to Everest region. Some say, you need to save 4 spare days to cope with delays. It's not a bad idea at all. Another idea is to have your flight tickets booked way before, so you will get an early flight (6.30u am). Or... plan to walk back from Lukla to Jir in three to five days, that's a great way, too. Anyway, Lukla is not a very good place to wait for a week, especially if you have an international flight waiting for you. Psychologically speaking, it's veeery interesting!

Ten Great Adventure Travel Destinations For 2011 {Gadling}
Jan 14th 2011 7:31AM Definitely great, great destinations! No harm in adding one more I guess... 2011 is the also the year of Nepal. It's the Tourism year in an attempt to restore a littebit of the lost tourism due to political instability in the last years.
I don't need to mention why Nepal is such a great destination, oh well, it's the Himalayas and it's people, there's no country like Nepal - See http://www.mountainconsult.com for some extra information if you like!

Artist plans exhibition at the summit of Everest {Gadling}
Jan 13th 2011 4:44PM Mmmm interesting idea, although... I'm wondering if Everest should be used as a very high advertising tool. There are some topics, like climate change, that are worth it to have Everest put some attention to it... Art? Anyway, I hope it's strong, as the weather can be wild up there. Cheers,
