Think globally, invest glocally {BloggingStocks}
Nov 20th 2006 8:27AM I didn't know CEMEX would still be considered as an emerging giant. I thought they already dominated the cement manufacturing market in Mexico. And from what I have read it was already one of the ten largest companies in the world since 1989. And since 1996, one of the third largest cement companies in the world. I think Jollibee foods would be the best bet here. They have taken over the fastfood market share locally in a short period of time and is fast rising Internationally.
MySpace is soooo over {BloggingStocks}
Nov 20th 2006 8:25AM yes it's true that teens can be flaky. An dthey can be indecisive - and understatement I know. But given the right ingredients, they can stick around for some time too. Myspace had it all for some time, until they stopped learning the demands. I think there's still a chance for myspace. As for google, youtube is next. Find a way to reinvent it soon or you'll be sorry.
Who's supporting Amazon? {BloggingStocks}
Nov 19th 2006 11:21AM The world of stocks is a tricky one indeed. It is not much different from gambling. Sometimes it's just too difficult to tell when to stop. I say when you've doubled your investment, you got more than enough. Besides, all good things come to an end.
The considerable loss of Gary Comer {BloggingStocks}
Nov 19th 2006 11:20AM Some good things never last. I hope his descendants will continue his philanthropic works. My condolences to the family of this great man. His life was lived to the fullest. I believe there is no better way to spend your wealth than giving it to those who truly need it.
Word for the Travel Wise (10/30/06) {Gadling}
Nov 16th 2006 1:17PM This is interesting. I love learning about different cultures. I am also interested in different languages. Although I doubt my capability to become fluent in languages like Bulgarian (or other languages completely different from English). I can probably learn a word
or two though. I think now I would research on Bulgaria..and their food! :)
The True Kazakhstan (Despite what Borat Says) {Gadling}
Nov 16th 2006 1:17PM Why would they film it in Romania? I hate it when they make films full of inaccuracies. It breeds ignorance. A lot of people will see these films and think they know facts. And then they go around spreading false information. At least we have people who are more than willing to provide us with real information.
How to Sneak into Hotel Pools {Gadling}
Nov 16th 2006 1:16PM I don't think it's a good idea to advise people on how to sneak in places where they shouldn't be.
If you owned the hotel, or managing it at least, you wouldn't want to be pestered with such nuisances.
There are public pools where you can swim at an affordable rate. Also informing people of pools
wherabouts and location of surveillance cameras is not such a smart thing to do. There are bad elements out there who might use this kind of information for criminal purposes. Please be responsible with what you post on the net.
Most Dangerous U.S. Cities {Gadling}
Nov 16th 2006 1:15PM When polls and surveys like this are made, there will always be the top 10 and the lowest 10. Just because St. Louis was voted as most dangerous U.S. city, it doesn't mean that it's as dangerous as people would probably interpret thatbit information. It just means that comparing it other cities it probably is the least safest. And crime rates jumping 16 percent does not meant there's murder happening in every block. It just means that it increased significantly. So if there were 100 murders occuring every year, there are now 116 murders occuring every year. I feel sorry for St. Louis - people tend to overact to such news.
Deadwood on the Beach? {Gadling}
Nov 16th 2006 2:04AM This show sounds very interesting. Actually, I'm more interested in how he's (David Milch) gonna pull this one off. I think he can do it, I'm just curious about how he's gonna go about it. I mean, if a lifeguard with a cheesy son named Hoby made it for a long time, I bet Butchie can do it too. I just hope they don't go overboard with outlandish twists.
Frans Lanting Exhibition {Gadling}
Nov 16th 2006 2:03AM I love animals too! I would love to be able to do the kind of work that he does. But I guess love is not enough. Talent plays a key role - one which I do not have when it comes to photography. I hope he didn't take pictures of roaches. That would ruin it for me. I love the cover, Cats are so majestic.
