Feb 27th 2011 11:23AM My favorite room in my house is my bedroom. It is comfortable, easy to relax in and has almost everything in one place. I don't agree with your bedroom should just be to sleep in. I have areas for reading, for ironing, for watching television and doing things like my manicures. It is my go to room for me. :)

Nov 23rd 2010 11:36AM One of my fondest memories, although a little dark, is when I was about 5 and was determined to stay up and catch Santa in the act. I was laying in bed listening for any signs when all of a sudden I heard bells on the roof and stomping. It scared me so bad that I hid under the covers and went to sleep :-)
Never did know what that was. Hmmmm, Santa maybe :-)

Jet setters or something similiar. 100 dollars a year to be able to leave a card because you are to lazy or busy to be able to tip the way you want is just plain a luxury that the average Joe cannot even fathom. And then on top of that you say Pay Pal takes their share????I wish you luck, but I can't see this taking off.

Who the hell are you to tell me what I have to tip, such establishments would be better off in my opinion to add to the price of a meal than to tell me what I have to tip. You are right, tipping is a gift, an incentive to good wait staff, not a given. Crap that makes me mad.

Nov 21st 2009 11:27PM I think a lot of people are missing the point here. The quality of service is in the eyes of the clientele and their tipping opinions. Some people will take much, others nothing. And they can tip accordingly, IMHO.
However, I think the point of the story is the out rage that an establishment can have someone ARRESTED because they didn't leave a tip. Mandatory tips, I have no idea how legal that terminalogy is, as another said, they might be better off to call it a service fee for more than two people or however they figure it.
Waitresses and waiter should always give good service for the people they work for and their reputation, and then for their customers. A tip will come naturally for most diners, but it should not be the basis of the restaurant/bars service quality. Bartenders don't expect tips galore, but they appreciate them. Wait staff should be the same. Oh, and yes, I have been a waitress before. And I didn't EXPECT a tip, and was grateful when I did get one. Hmmmmm, is that old school?????
