Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick Angers Hamptons Neighbors With Hedge Blocking Views {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 14th 2012 2:40PM Amazing how so many commenters just love being pushed around by a super-rich guy. What sheep. He gets a huge property tax break from all of us for pretending his estate is a farm, which gives us a say-so on what he does to develop it. Apparently all that 9-11 generosity is all gone now and he's just another rich dude getting welfare from the rest of us.

Crooks Can Guess Digits in Your Social Security Number, Study Finds {WalletPop}

Jan 10th 2011 3:47PM Shoot, my SS number is available to clerks in every insurance company, doctor's office, clinic, hospital, medical testing facility, and credit card issuer that I have ever used in my whole adult life. Even the phone company has it! And not to mention five states from which I have received driver's licenses and auto registrations. There are probably several thousand people who could currently get to my SS number if they tried. It's impossible to keep it private no matter how hard you try or how much you argue with clerks. The reason is that over many years the US government and the SS agency has allowed it to become an identification number despite laws and rules prohibiting this.

Why I Secretly Wish I Were Dutch {Lemondrop}

Nov 18th 2010 2:14PM Now, Eva, really someone has been feeding you a load of hooey, Inflation under the current administration is so low that economists are worrying about "stagflation" and negative inflation instead of high inflation. Your windmill comments are totally wrong -- simply not true in any way. There are some problems ineed with wind powe but not what you say. Just totally off the mark here. Finally, ask any mechanic and he or she will tell you that today's autos are far superior to autos in the recent past. In fact, technicians complain that they are losing business because the new cars do not need the service and repair that cars of old did! You sound like a small-government advocate anxious to turn any comment or story into some reason to attack Obama. Geeze at least get your facts straight instead.

Carpooling -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}

Oct 14th 2010 4:17PM Good comment, Bill; you are absolutely right. And now the crypto-racists ranting about "minorities" (what's that a code word for, I wonder?), the gullible sheep who believe Republican lies about taxes (nope, taxes are LOWER you dips), and the water-carriers for rich people (nope you are not rich so stop fantisizing) can come out of the woodwork.

Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar Walk Off 'View' Set While Talking to Bill O'Reilly {PopEater}

Oct 14th 2010 2:41PM Bill O, the professional fearmonger. The false pundit. The corporate shill.

Payday loan company to refund W.Va. consumers {WalletPop}

Jul 22nd 2010 10:37PM Until this year, interest rates on payday loans here in Colorado averaged -- that's averaged -- over 300%. Some people were paying as much as 520% per year with fees. How is this different from loansharking?

Waking During Surgery Like 'Being Entombed in a Corpse,' Woman Says {AOL Health}

May 18th 2010 4:45PM It's happened to me twice. Once I woke up and saw the surgical crew looking down at me, Someone said "he's coming up, he's coming up." An arm went across my field of vision and apparently turned open a clip that put me back under. Fortunately it did not hurt.

The second time I was lying under a sheet with a strong local anesthetic in my neck and face, having my carotid artery "scraped." As my neck and artery were sliced open and surgeons' hands were in there with sharp instruments, I didn't want to talk or move. But the local wore off and every time anyone touched a nerve I groaned. Finally someone took notice and increased the amount of versed I was getting which helped some. The anestheseologist had gone to lunch!
