New York's Most Unique (Or Dangerous) Subway Station {Gadling}
Jul 2nd 2012 7:51PM This was on reddit last week. Not fresh stuff anymore!
Biking the car-less streets of New York City after Hurricane Irene {Gadling}
Aug 29th 2011 2:11PM I felt, from the outset, that Irene was overhyped for the New York City area. I felt this because, based on the projected path and based on the talking heads' opinions, they were saying that it would lose power overland. So, I figured, if it were to come onshore as a Category 2, then it would probably be a pretty bad storm by the time it got to NYC.
But then it came on shore as a Cat 1. So I figured, it'll fizzle by the time it got to NYC. However, the news seemed to suggest something much deadlier.
My neighbors ran and so did a lot of other folks. My brother and I decided, even if it were to be worse than we anticipated, it would still be better than a true hurricane.
I think we were on point - it was a strong storm, but it wasn't nearly as bad as they said, and it was much more like what we expected.
New site helps you plan day trips from Mumbai {Gadling}
Aug 5th 2011 4:14PM It's a good attempt at this sort of thing. They have a ways to go considering that regardless of your selection, you are always presented with the resort in Matheran, with no apparent indication of additional choices - which also happen to be the same regardless of your selection.
I think it has tremendous potential. But as is the case with most things in India, I don't expect it to go very far past this without some major input in the areas of user interaction and search.
GPS devices on flights? Maybe {Gadling}
May 9th 2011 4:48PM I've used my blackberry Bold on flights. It worked fine, only there wasn't any data at that time. However it still plotted across my google maps.
Xcom Global's MiFi rental service: why you shouldn't leave the US without one {Gadling}
Mar 23rd 2011 12:35PM I'm about to embark on my trip to Europe tomorrow, with two of my MiFi devices from XCom all set in their pouch. I'll be sure to not leave it in my car and also to NOT miss my flight (which I do with much ease), and I'll do a write up on my experience, as I'm terribly excited about using it.
SkyMall Monday: Products rejected by Skymall {Gadling}
Feb 15th 2011 3:33PM Did you see this same stuff on CNN? I think someone's lifted this article.

Orbitz weighs in on American Airlines ruling [BREAKING] {Gadling}
Dec 22nd 2010 11:52AM It's unfortunate for American. If others buy tickets as I do, then I rely on Orbitz and Kayak to get an idea of who is selling seats for what price, before making up my mind to buy. I never buy on Southwest or Jetblue simply because they never come up on my search results. Now, it would seem, American is also not going to show up on my search results.
