What a sad state of affairs the GOP has got us into and to think I use to be a GOP voter. All they can think of is how to screw the government instead of meeting the Dems 1/2 way between....nothing wrong with both showing a little compassion for each others ideas and stop the BS which is making this country a 3rd world nation....

Feb 1st 2012 9:41PM Being the biggest doesn't necessarily mean being the best. It looks good on paper but if it means going bankrupt, who cares what size you are. Don't let the greed ruin the thousands of employees livlyhood. Go back 15-20 years ago when things were running smoothly.....Less employees, less Airplanes, less maintenence, less everything!!!! You were making money then and things looked good, not only for you personally but for the complete company....so you take a drop in your overall net but at least the majority were employeed, just not as many mouths to feed. I would rather hear arguments about cutbacks than see the whole company go bellyup. I'm not speaking of only your company/ industry but most large companies should do the same.....just cut back to a point where you're in the black. Those who unfortunatly have to be discharged can always be retrained for other positions in other industries..

Oct 22nd 2011 2:52PM Bodie, CA was a ghost town when I was last there, 60 years ago (around the early 50's). The only store open at that time was like a souvenir store. No doubt it's on a historical list in either California or the U.S.A. Wow, what memories. Thanks for sharing.

Reagan had balls, which it takes to be President of our country and he showed it many times, something you don't have. I can see it right now......The morning that Mc Cain was going to announce his(?--I doubt it)choice for Vice President, he probably received a phone call from the Republican Election Committee informing him who was going to be his running mate. After hanging up the phone he told his wife, "honey, we just lost the presidency. Now they got somebody named Palin from Alaska to run with me but as i asked previously, "what the hell is a Palin?" Next this Palin will want to run for president, oh well it's the committes call, not mine and by the way, what does a vice president really do besides ride the coat tails of the Pres.?"
