Take It From Marvin Miller: NFL Owners, Players in Trouble {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Feb 18th 2011 11:40AM It is time for all the dupes...um..I mean Fans to wake up and call a stop to over priced tickets, food, drinks and "accessories" like stickers, jackets and etc. Without a bunch of fans willing to pay for all of this, it will fall like a house of cards. So, even though I do enjoy watching pro football, the greed just has to stop and I will not miss pro football and all of the whining, crying and greed associated with it at all if it were to disappear off of the face of the earth. So...Fans, don't act like a bunch of dopes...just REFUSE TO PAY..REFUSE TO PLAY THEIR STUPID GREED GAME. There are plenty of other interesting things to do that can fill the time you used to sepend watching pro football.

Rumormill: Next Bugatti Veyron to hit 270 mph {Autoblog}

Feb 17th 2011 7:00PM The Veyron front end design has GOT to be one of the ugliest I have ever seen. If Bugatti wants to make a splash, why not redesign the front end of the carso it looks nice and just forget about the stratospheric top speed capabilities?

Managers Are Overrated, According to Study {AOL Jobs}

Feb 9th 2011 11:30PM Often managers are only managers because they happen to be poilitically adept or are just plain old ass kissers. Being a manager often has nothing to do with a person's ability, experience or education. The last manager I worked for had no skills, no experience, was unsafe in his job, thought he was ALWAYS right and would never, ever admit it even when he was blatantly wrong and had nothing to contribute to the overall effort of the department. As a matter of fact every time there was some kind of a personnel problem he was involved and EVERYONE had a problem with him. Eventually the upper management was forced, by this manager's subordinates to tell him that he had a choice to make: be FIRED or just resign. He is no longer there and the department has a LOT of happy, productive people now.

What Message Is the Color You're Wearing Sending? {AOL Jobs}

Jan 4th 2011 10:28AM I guess that the author is one of these overly clothes conscious folks that just has to read something into what people wear. How about little dose the realities of life that apply to 95% of us? "Let's see...the green shirt is clean today...Oops, it is not pressed, but the brown one is!" Or maybe "Hey, the blue shirt is closest to the front of the closet." I will admit, however, to picking a tie that does go with the shirt, so maybe I am color conscious to at least some degree.

Dolphins' Players Stand Behind Tony Sparano, Chad Henne {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Dec 28th 2010 11:44AM Everyone seems to be forgetting that it is nothing more than a game. G-A-M-E. And there will be winners and losers in every game. I can understand fans being frustrated when their team doesn't win, but to get all serious about booing anyone to this extent is just plain stupid. Yes, (and I am not a big Dolphins fan) one would hope that they improve and I am sure than NO ONE wants the team to be better and do better than the actual team members would hope to be.

As far as anyone saying that the Dolphins have never been great...How soon people forget, huh? Talk about "fair weather fans"!!!

Biggest As Seen on TV Disappointments of 2010 {WalletPop}

Dec 20th 2010 1:14PM "As seen on TV", means that whatever is being said is BS and the speaker is referring you to more BS. Just because something has been seen on TV doesn't mean it has any more credibility than something that was last seen in the city dump.

Makeover Diaries: A Beach Babe Turned Soccer Mom {Stylelist}

Dec 6th 2010 2:59PM There is NOTHING I hate worse than seeing some person (usually a woman) trying WWAAAY too hard to look younger (sometimes horribly younger)than she actually is. The results are normally pretty much grotesque and just makes them look pitiful. I'd rather look at the south end of a north bound cow than even glimpse these fools. I used to feel sorry for them, but realized that the whole deal was their own fault and that they not worth even feeling sorry for.

Every Star Ever Sings 'Let It Be' For Awesome Video {PopEater}

Dec 5th 2010 10:32PM I listened to this out of curiosity and will have to admit that I have never even heard of about 70% of the people that participated and the ones I did recognize were from a LOOONG time ago!

15 Jobs That Pay $50 an Hour {AOL Jobs}

Oct 18th 2010 9:49AM Having been in aviation for over 30 years, I can say that most every co-pilot has to have a 4 year degree to get a job that will lead to an actual career as a pilot (captain). Although a degree is not REQUIRED for the job, having a degree is often used as a discrimnator by prospective employers when hiring pilots and this seems to hold true in all areas of the industry that hire pilots, whether it be a part 121 or a part 91 job. (that is to say airline or private as in corporate flying.) I know VERY FEW pro pilots that do not have a degree of some kind.

Crash Landing {MyDaily}

Sep 15th 2010 8:10PM Yep, that is called sailplane by most folks that fly them, but the FAA pilot's license I have to fly one (among several, not relevant to this discussion, licenses and ratings) is called Commercial GLIDER and the other one I have that relates to this article and the comments I read above is called Certified Flight Instructor-Glider. LOL..NOT that I am saying the government is always (or even occasionally) right! Another intersting terminology that the FAA uses is MOTORGLIDER and NOT MOTORSAILPLANE even though they are often pretty much exactly the same aircraft with one having an engine and the other not. As a matter of fact, the FAA uses the term "GLIDER" in pretty much every publication they have relating to "sailplanes".
