May 31st 2011 5:34PM Suppose I want a second passport for the following reason. I want to enter China on a tourist visa so I can get married to a Chinese lady. But afterwards I want to work as a TEFL teacher. But I can't convert a tourist visa to a Z visa while I am in China. I would have to leave China back to US or maybe to Hong Kong and apply for Z visa. The z visa must be converted to a work permit within 30 days of entry. But if I had a second passport, I could use it to apply for Z visa while I am in New York. Then I would use it when I arrive at destination where my clock starts ticking until 30 days are up. After 30 days if I am not issued a work permit, I am required to leave China. By having two passports, one with a Z visa and one with a tourist visa, I can avoid the expense of leaving China just to get another visa. Is this a valid reason to be able to obtain a second passport.
Mar 17th 2011 9:22PM I believe that the culinary schools are overpriced. Moreover, they do not teach certain necessary skills like knife skills or recipe conversions adequately, which are what most employers ask me about. I have been to a culinary school. I tried to get jobs all over. I only got dish washing jobs. No chef accepted me for a job. There is lots of discrimination in field if you are not a minority. Employers stereotype you before you are hired. If you do get hired, you get paid $8-15/hr based on my experience. I never made enough to pay back any federal loan. So going to a culinary school does not provide you with earning power, not enough to support a family. The value of a culinary education does not justify the cost. Culinary schools are just a business advertising to make money off students who will accumulate debt they will not be able to repay readily.
Nov 27th 2010 6:32PM I think cookie monster can represent the US and South Korea to help reduce the aggressive behavior of North Korea. If a video with a prepared script were sent to North Korea asking for cooperation rather than confrontation, then relations might improve. I regard the recent bombings as evidence of childish behavior.
