Got time to spare? Back up your iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Feb 4th 2009 10:20AM I've always had fast updates and syncs. This morning I did the update, that went fine, but after 20 min's of syncing just podcast I gave up and made it stop. And it made me 15min's late to work this morning. Thanks Apple.

Oct 8th 2008 9:04AM Here's mine I did a while back. Saw how to do it on another site, but it's good that it was posted here too because it opened up the technique to other people. It's not like the Christopher guy invented it...

Terminal Tip: Burning a disc {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Aug 13th 2008 9:40AM So... I don't know anything really about using the terminal for OSX so dont think of this as a stupid question, but one where you can enlighten somebody... Why would you want to burn a disk from the terminal; inserting a disk, typing in the command and hopefully the right file path correctly; instead of just inserting a disk and dragging the file to the CD and clicking the burn button?
Are there any extra/hidden benefits to using the terminal to do this?
