Jul 16th 2011 1:37AM Hamrick4 & Glenn Posner- Sharks are "eating machines". That is what they live for. The flash of pale flesh in murky water could have been perceived as a fish! The boy's foot was mangled, because a shark's mouth is full of teeth- If that shark wanted to remove that foot, he could have with one bite. They have an incredible amount of pressure, in their "bite". Coupled with their numerous teeth, you could compare it to an animated wood chipper- the big ones!

Jul 1st 2011 2:32PM I am very happy for you parents whose children were preemies, and they turned out all right. JUST know, that they are the exception to the RULE. Study several years back, maybe 10-15 yrs ago. 50% of Preemies had moderate to severe disability with perception, 25% had mild disability with perception.Those with severe perception disabilities were asked to draw what they saw- the symbol was a big zero. The results looked like a SIx that wasn't totally closed. When it was a + (plus) sign, they drew l - . More examples were given, but I don't remember all the details.

May 27th 2011 4:59PM I remember a previous case like this, where the placenta attached itself to the omentum- where a lot of blood vessels are placed to supply blood to the intestines, large & small. It was a while back, in the 70's or 80's. Mother & baby both turned out ok.

If you have car problems, tear off a long sheet, partially wrinkle it up, then straighten out again, place upper edge in trunk opening, close trunk, leaving majority of foil hanging out- VOILA, the best reflective "someone is here notice" I've ever seen.

May 11th 2011 11:45PM I'm guessing you missed the story from US border agents, saying they had order from above, to decrease arrests, "try" to convince illegals crossing the border to turn around & go back, rather than face arrest. GEE, I wonder who this order would benefit? Maybe the same people who keep saying the border is safer than ever. That would be the same people who are now ardently pushing for immigration reform, AKA AMNESTY....YVETTE, ILLEGAL ALIENS do get entitlements. Check it out. Remember Obama's illegal aunt living in section 8 housing, for years, in BOSTON? How about the 20 something Latina in CA who's had 3 heart transplants, & is waiting for a 4'th, on the MEDICAID "dime"- GOOGLE IT! They also get food stamps, ADC, WIC, ETC. There are over 80 federal entitlement programs....As to proof of ID, I have to do that whenever I write a check, fly on a plane, get stopped for a traffic violation, receive medical care, etc- I guess the left thinks it's okay for ILLEGAL ALIENS to have MORE rights than US citizens. AND, that AOL has this site in Spanish is an affront to ANY AMERICAN , whose ancestors came to this country & learned the language of the land, ENGLISH- That includes ME! My Grandmother was born in Germany, & came here when 5 yrs old. My Grandfather was born a few months after his parents came here from ITALY- They both spoke ENGLISH. There were no BALLOTS in Spanish, Italian, German, etc back then. I guess if you're Hispanic ILLEGAL ALIENS, you're SPECIAL. There's a question heard in Special Education, "Just how "special" are you?" What part of ILLEGAL doesn't AOL get?

Apr 18th 2011 2:18AM My husband & I have been recycling for over 20 years- When we first started, I was amazed at how empty the trash can was- Not even half full in a week. Plus, all our leaves & grass clippings make great compost. We have very heavy clay soil, & I can't afford to BUY all the good soil I wish I had.
