I remember a friend's son who picked out bright red red red lipstick, 'hooker' shoes and this really questionable taste sparkly red dress for his mom to wear on their promised b'day 'date' when he was 8-9 because it made her look 'pretty' and 'glamorous'.

Sep 15th 2009 7:20PM Sad but true, because it is more often than not true- names are reflective of/preferred by a certain socio-economic level and more often than not in America if you have a ghetto name less is expected of you (by school , parents, and community) , and more in the way of attitude. Jason and Daniel will do better than Dayshawn and LaDonque. And Lashonda is more loudmouthed than Rebecca. Janelle however is more middle class, so even though ethnic, more is expected of her by her teachers and her parents. So I imagine same is true in Briton.
