Coming attractions: Iraq {Gadling}

Oct 15th 2010 9:39PM Just returned from 33 months in Iraq as a civilian working for US. Iraq could be a terrific destination with sites such as Hatra, Babylon and ancient monasteries and mosques to visit. It is full of warm, friendly people. Problem is there are so many factions, both political and religious that it will take a long time before a westerner can move about freely there and be safe.
I would like to go back as a tourist when things calm down.
