Meet the eBay Millionaires {AOL Small Business}

Mar 25th 2011 11:59AM Excellent, inspiring examples. Everyone setting up a small business on EBay should be sure to read the rules, and to join the VERO and VRT programs.

One thing *not* to sell on EBay (or anywhere else) are collections of e-books written by living authors, even if they are snagged from "sharing" sites and burned onto CDs or DVDs by the downloader and would-be vendor.

E-books can only be sold by the author, or by someone who has a signed contract with the author. If the author has a website, they probably own their own copyrights, and anyone on an auction site who tells you that they own "resell rights" is probably deluded.

Alyssa Milano Throws Down a Challenge to the Old Spice Guy {PopEater}

Jul 16th 2010 6:37AM Hey, whoever transcribed the video:

"So, without further adieu, if aideu is really word..."

"Without further ado" is correct, and is probably what Alyssa said.

"Adieu" is French for "farewell", "aideu" is a typo.

Major airlines commit to keeping carry-on luggage fee free - will not follow Spirit Airlines {Gadling}

Apr 19th 2010 5:30PM I agree, Tom,

One should not have to pay for a handbag or briefcase, but if one is "carrying on" a suitcase, rucksack, or hold-all, then I feel that one should pay one's fair share.

Maybe $45 is too much. However, that weight in the overhead bins should not be subsidized by lighter travelers or travelers who have paid for items in the hold. Moreover, big items take up bin space that is designed and intended to be shared by three or more travelers.

Senate Votes to Bring Health Care Reform Bill to Floor {Politics Daily}

Nov 22nd 2009 7:04AM Wade,

If you are correct that Harry Reid is being economical with the truth, is lying to congress still an impeachable offense? I suspect that the laws have changed since a certain president said he never had sex with a certain young woman.

GM wants to block public from tracking its corporate jets {BloggingStocks}

Nov 28th 2008 1:45PM I thought the point of CEOs flying in a corporate jet was to lessen the risk of kidnap or murder by terrorists.

If that is the case, it makes no sense for the general public to be able to track flights.

Airline safety survey kiboshed by NASA {Gadling}

Oct 27th 2007 7:40AM Do they really think that saying "revealing the findings could damage the public's confidence in airlines" doesn't undermine the public's confidence?

If it is so bad that they daren't tell us, I guess it is still nowhere near as bad as we now imagine!

Ask Sam Donaldson: Week of Oct. 31 {AOL Elections Blog}

Nov 5th 2006 6:30PM Sam,
I'm an independent. I'd like to vote for ideas and whoever I perceive is a good person, not for an ideology and a "party".

Why can't I vote for a Republican Senator and a Democratic Representative if that would put the best men/women for my state in power?
