Nov 15th 2010 4:07PM One of my favorite winter memories was actually quite awful. I come from a large family and my father would recruit all his kids to help with various needs around the house. I was recruited to help with closing the pool. We had this huge oversized pool and it was a few months overdue for closing during this Chicago winter. As we had just finished up putting the winter cover on it, my dad pushed me in.
It was awful. And miserably cold. But my dad had a great laugh and my mom babied me for days with hot cocoa and treats. It was probably worth nearly freezing to death!

Oct 5th 2010 5:57PM I would first use this sleeping bag out in the desert of Southern California, where the temps can drop to a miserable low. I would be sure to find a nice little ghost town to really creep myself out and have all the more reason to nestle into sweet warm slumber.
