New York City's Bloomberg proposes outdoor smoking ban {Gadling}
Sep 16th 2010 1:11PM We should also tax wine, spirits, beer, red meat and anything else human beings consume in excess. The fact is ANYTHING can kill you if you do it long enough and in sufficient quantity. God forbid someone would attack the wine industry in this way. California, Washington, Oregon, Virginia and New York wouldn't allow it. The fact is as adults I have the right to smoke a cigar. As an adult I can and will be courteous to others who don't smoke. However, when I can't smoke indoors, where the hell else do I go. THINK. Imagine if this was about wine or red meat versus cigarettes. When will this stop? I know the risks I take as an educated adult when I smoke. Its a choice I make, keep the government out of my business.
