Dec 23rd 2006 10:34PM holy crap, I hate those Kay commercials. Even worse are the "he went to Jared" commercials. I literally want to stab those actors in the face every time I have to see those obnoxious commercials.
But the Kay commercial has a special place in the "really obnoxious" box, because of that idiotic poem the kid reads, it makes me cringe every time I hear it... I just want to throw things at the tv.
I don't have agression problems, I swear.
More People Traveling with Amtrak {Gadling}
Dec 11th 2006 2:32PM you know, riding the train is lovely. I had only done it abroad until my boyfriend asked me to go on a day trip with him because he had some business to take care of in a nearby town.
It's really fun, I totally reccomend it. The seats are spacious and the views were lovely (of course I live in seattle, other places might be different) And the food isn't the drivel they are trying to make you pay for on airplanes these days.
When you think about it, it makes sense. The train workers are much easier to work with than are airport security who are making minimum wage and it's a lot more comfortable in general.
Playing Dirty: Women on the Wii {Joystiq}
Nov 20th 2006 8:18PM I guess you could call me a hardcore female gamer. I don't identify myself as this, but I am sitting here playing my DS while I read this. My first console was the sega master system when I was like... 7? either way this is really blown out of proportion.
I literally just saw a Wii commercial, and I didn't see any negative stereotypes that indicated womem have issues with controllers. It just looked like they were having fun, which is the whole point.
Culturally though, it's not really kosher for chicks to like videogames, it's been ingrained in us from birth really, like pink and blue. Trucks and dolls. Makeup and videogames. I think it's actually pretty progessive to start making strides to involve women more, despite it only being to gain more green.
I love my DS and I love my Wii, my ps2, my gamecube, genesis and so on. But I'm not the norm, and you can't call sexist or agist because of the fact that it *ISN'T* the norm for women to be gamers. Nintendo is making an effort and while in the beginning it might be a bit misguided, they will come through in the end. They're Nintendo for christ's sake.

It's also funny how the republicans seem to think their party is alleviating poverty in any way, shape, or form. And though there are exceptions to the rule, the majority of you people are so ignorant it disgusts me. Good Riddance.

Nov 2nd 2006 11:42AM Is it the tumeric in the curry? That's funny, it seems to be some amazing wonder spice. I was just taking it last weekend to ease a nasty case of diarrhea causesomeone reccomended it to me, and It did help out a lot.
