Jul 15th 2011 10:17PM If you think its bad for airplane pilots, take a look at helicopters! Not only do you need 1500-2000 hrs to get an entry-level job, it costs twice as much!,...and if you choose to buy your way up in hours, it'll cost around $250/hr to rent!
Increasing hiring minimums will only create an even wider gap between new pilots and employed pilots, and if fewer are actually leaving the military, then one day there may be nothing left but unemployed low-time pilots!
The "powers that be" really have to understand, that the amount of flight hours a pilot has, isn't the deciding factor as to whether or not he will crash!

Oct 29th 2010 10:28PM This is the first time (in my lifetime) I've ever seen the Mcribb in my area, I usually have to drive for a couple of hours, into the Central Vally, to get one.
Its awesome! I don't care how "bad for me" it is. In fact, if I die at 40 from a Mc heart attack, that's fine. We all die from something, it may as well be from a Mcribb.
The Simpsons did a parody of the Mcribb some time back. It was pretty funny, especially when it came to what it was made from! "think smaller and hairier,...with more legs"!
