Jan 14th 2011 3:07PM This post indicates orders will be filled by summer, but I believe earlier Nissan indicated I could not get mine until November, 2011 (apparently I'm in a tier 51 state). With that kind of wait, committing to a purchase when other items could be coming down the pipe (for example, November 2011 is one year closer to Tesla S territory) didn't make much sense. So I cancelled my order.

Sep 15th 2010 11:30PM I apologize in advance for this - I know some people like the Volt. And it may be technically better - 40 miles is a long way (though I haven't seen much discussion of the juice keeping a bigger battery charged will use - we drive maybe 4 times a week, so that's a lot of charger time...).
But I just think it's a boring looking car.
So if I can save money, and have a sexier looking vehicle? Sold!

Dec 21st 2009 11:56PM I'm actually really pleased they're going this route, though I do wish they'd dumped the fiesta name. We bought a Yaris back in '06, and the lack of luxury items was shocking. I buy small cars because they're efficient, and I care, not because I'm cheap. So give me the turbo four option, and the leather seats, and all that.
