Jan 18th 2013 8:27AM i applied for and received a pistol permit in 1967 in upstate NY. in 1999 i went to the sheriffs office (whom i used to work with) and asked to get a new permit, because it was worn, and the picture didn't look like me anymore. they refused, and said when the license was totally worn out it was done. no more pistol permit. then i said i would then carry it illegally, screw you.

Feb 14th 2012 9:56AM i had a motor home 10 years, yes it is great if the gas is cheap. i only got 7 mpg. i then calculated cost for depreciation, prevent maint, ins, repair, finance. boy what vacations i could have had for all my money, and they would have made the bed and cleaned up !!!!

Oct 22nd 2011 9:23AM my father was born aug 1915 in seneca falls,ny. moved away in his teens. went back with his brother to visit, 75 years later. upon his return, he told me that the houses that were falling down when he was a kid, were still falling down. he died 7 days after his birthday, aged 93.

Sep 13th 2010 10:32AM temporary ? my father nailed a roof attached to an old outhouse he was using for his garden equip, to keep the firewood dry. my mother saw it and exclaimed, it looked horrible my father said it's only temporary dorothy. it was still there 46 yrs later. i had a friend who never moved out of his parents house (he had a good job that paid well) got married, had kids, and yrs later his parents died, he took over the house. now he's mad the kids won't move out. my sisters kid is 44 and he wont get out. my neighbors kids are 50 and 52, and the oldest just moved out because he got married. and this was going on well before this depression. i think the gov ought to send a support check to these parents.

Aug 31st 2010 2:09PM I have only flown Jet Blue once( great experience) as it does not fly out of our airports. I am getting ready to retire after 37 years of being a hairstylist and would love to be able to see everything that I have missed seeing in the last 37 years with no vacations.
