Detroit: Can the once proud Motor City be saved? {Autoblog}
Apr 23rd 2010 6:32PM Tom - the incentive should come BEFORE the rules. IN other words, STOP having the kids if you are already on public assistance and the government needs to Subtract NOT add benefits for additional kids. Period. ALL animals including adults, react to the incentives. No monetary reward, no attempt to cash in. Take money AWAY - WOW - they will shut er down. Just watch. ONce the kid is born - the emotional and social pressures prevent any incentives from becoming effective.
Confessions of a Flight Attendant {AOL Jobs}
Apr 23rd 2010 6:16PM Tskes two to tangle. It's your husbands fault - no one elses. He made the decision - regardless of her forwardness. Everyone gets opportunities - its how they handle them and their morals. Period

Apr 23rd 2010 6:10PM The average flight distance for Swest is 630 miles - Jet Blue 1000 and others higher than that. The amenities will be directly related to the type of service AND length of flight. Don't expect movies on any Southwest flights, regardless of length - not their style. Costs money which runs rates up for us. I'd rather bring my own entertainment and save the money. Jet Blue is run by Ex Swest managers, thus the superior customer service. As a business flyer, my #1 goal is Ontime departures AND ontime arrivals - NOT fluff.

Apr 23rd 2010 6:00PM Just read the following fact. Procreation into a hell that has very little options is wrong. IN addition, IF you do, THEN make sure these kids are getting the FREE education they have availalbe at the Minimum !
A 2006 newspaper report and a 2005 Princeton study spell costly problems for the students and residents of Detroit Schools. In 2006 USA Today reported on a study funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It said that several of the nation's largest school districts had less than a 50% graduation rate. Detroit Schools, the 11th largest district in the country, was dead last with an appalling 21.7%.
It's common sense and a cultural disaster.
Confessions of a Flight Attendant {AOL Jobs}
Apr 23rd 2010 5:49PM Most people don't realize that these attendants are not paid until the door shuts, and their time stops once the door opens on arrival. Based on all of the prep and handling of the "idiots" overhead luggage, fighting for seats, etc....that seems wrong. Most do one helluva job, especially on Southwest. I find the older airlines w older crews, have attitudes at times. Most based on their work hours, union, etc. OH, and some couldn't physically get out the window, much less help others. Thats NOT mean - those of you that fly know exactly what I meant.

Apr 23rd 2010 5:40PM Yes - the proverbial all your eggs in one basket, no need for an education, automatic $50m/year working the line for generations ! This is the obvious result. And don't forget the fraud and obvious teft of their chosen municipal and area leaders - both Politically and Socially ! The duh factor !
As unions look to Obama, their hopes may be false {BloggingStocks}
Dec 29th 2008 11:30PM Its Common Sense. Name one thing a Union can do for you, that you cant do yourself ? Just one. Thats why the mfging of Autos works so much better in the South, without the Clashes with Management over BS, Stupid Issues ! The bailout money goes to the companies - not the Unions #1. #2 - You have to have sales to create production. No sales - no production - no jobs. And the kicker, they no longer have the Job Banks that prevented layoffs or paid for them in the past. Nothing at all that would create or guarantee jobs - just the opposite. Duh !
General Motors to layoff 2,000 more employees {BloggingStocks}
Dec 7th 2008 6:32AM If the 400,000 uaw members took a $3/hr cut from $33 - $30/hr and the pensioners 600,000, took a $50 / mon cut from $3150/month to $3100/month, then walla - almost 4 BILLION in savings - immediately !! Why are we not asking for that ? Why is congress not asking them why they arent helping themselves ? people ? wake up. Heres a simple plan for those that want to save their jobs, yet theyre hands are out to you ? Suckers ! WOnt even help themselves !!! Sound familiar ? Its called Welfare ! Idiots ! THINK !
Fight the Power: Giants, Jets Fans Rage Against The PSL Machine {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Aug 21st 2008 6:49PM Live in Nashville as well. PSL amounts to a deed of land, which you have access to onlly on game day, during the hours of the game. You cant take you own coolers, no frig available, recliner, etc. PSL's have turned pro sports into a venue for the upper middle and higher class people or corporations. Its a joke. All of those folks that buy jerseys, hats, etc to support these teams will never be able to afford to go. Thats such a shame. I'll stay at home, spend the cash on Flat Screen, Lazy Boy and Frig full of beer and food. What about you ?
