Cockpit Chronicles: FOQA kept these pilots out of trouble in Panama {Gadling}
Sep 3rd 2010 4:19PM A cliffhanger?! Come on kent!
Great Post though. My dad is a 747 captain for United primarily flying to Asia, and the South Pacific. He says he runs into the same problem with controllers over seas a lot as well. Another thing he says he runs into, is the controllers talking to local carriers in their native language, (especially in China). This frustrates him because he needs to know what every other aircraft in the area is doing, and when he can't understand what is going on, it hinders the safety of the aircraft and his passengers.
Have you ever run into this problem?
