The Minor Threat: Age-Restricted Communities Evicting Children {AOL Real Estate}
Jan 6th 2012 8:05PM Why did the grandparents move into an age-restricted community? I'm guessing they wanted the advantages that a community like that offers. So they were fine that other families couldn't have children living there - until it was them. When you move into a community (with an HOA or not), you agree to go along with the rules.
HOA 'Steals' Homeowner's Virgin Mary Statue {AOL Real Estate}
Dec 13th 2011 8:48PM It doesn't seem a lot of people read the article. The people have $4000 in outstanding fines, so they were notified of the violation. The statue wasn't on their property, it was on a common area which is owned by everyone. I live in a neighborhood with an HOA and I like it. People here decorate their property - some with religious motifs, some with secular. But they don't put things in the common areas. If putting personal things in a common area is against HOA rules (and I'm betting it is with most if not all HOAs), then the HOA didn't steal their property, they removed unapproved items from common areas.
Paris Hilton: I Give Things Away, Lindsay Steals Them {PopEater}
May 9th 2011 8:37PM Not really defending Lindsay Lohan - she has lots of problems. But I don't remember reading about her badmouthing anyone. Anyone know of any instances?
Hat Trick: How Fergie Got Last Laugh at Wedding {PopEater}
May 4th 2011 7:02PM Well said Pat! When my nieces got married, they invited my brother (their Uncle) and their cousin (his daughter), but not his ex-wife/her Mom.
And saying she should have been invited because Camilla was - that's just stupid. Regardless of the past, Camilla is their father's wife.
Losing Love Made Nura Decide to Change Her Life, and Lose 19 Inches {That's Fit}
Apr 30th 2011 2:26PM In the before picture, your mouth is smiling, but in the after - your whole face is smiling - congratulations!
Top Fashion Picks From the Tribeca Film Festival 2011 {Stylelist}
Apr 24th 2011 2:25AM I just don't understand these two. Do they look in the mirror and think they look good? I could see if they just wore sweat suits or something, only thinking of comfort. But it's like they are making an effort to look like they do. Maybe they think it's quirky - like Helena Bonham Carter?
Pretzel Crisps Ad Offends Nearly Every Woman {Slashfood}
Oct 12th 2010 7:16PM I think it's a clever marketing ploy. A relatively unknown company makes a possibly offensive ad. They get lots of publicity and promise to change. They do - to another possibly offensive ad. Again - outcry, publicity. So they change again - more of the same.
Ike Ditzenberger, Down Syndrome Football Player, Scores TD in HS Game {Fanhouse Backporch}
Oct 2nd 2010 2:27PM I loved the other team's attempts to tackle Ike. What wonderful young men! It made me laugh and cry at the same time.
Taylor Lautner Sues RV Dealership for 'Emotional Distress' {Just So You Know}
Aug 25th 2010 12:05AM So you insult him by implying he's a woman? Hmmmm...
The article doesn't give enough info. How late was it? A day? A month? What wasn't done right? Was a wall painted the wrong shade - or was the bathroom missing? "Emotional Distress" may be just the term used - like divorces for "Irreconcilable Differences", it's a vague term.
Tattoo Regret -- The Typo {Asylum}
Jul 9th 2010 4:39PM I thought the same thing - I looked at the picture and saw Charlie with a shadow below. After I read the article - it still looks like Charlie, not Chaxlie.
I wouldn't go to a tattoo artist who would tattoo a 16 year old. That's too young to make a decision that you will have pretty much forever.
