Jun 23rd 2010 6:59AM It's quite usual in the north that the "pinchos" might be eaten as dinner. In Santiago, Galicia, every bar will give you a "pincho" with your drink and usually refill the food. So if you grab a beer for 1€ you might eat 2 or 3 "pinchos" for free. Northern Spain is where people tend to eat a lot.
Those guys in speedos that you saw are more likely to be portuguese or brazilian. It's not usual for spaniards to wear speedos to the beaches unless it's in a gay-friendly beach :)
Jun 22nd 2010 9:51AM Cantabria has a lot of potential for tourism, although tourists tend to massively go to the same places. Santander is a beautiful town, colourful and bursting life. There are many beautiful beaches too but the water might be slightly colder than Mediterranean Sea.
You might want to check Galicia and Asturias in the north of Spain both equally beautiful.
Apr 14th 2010 11:17AM I have been to NYC twice. The first time I spent three nights at the Hyatt by the Hudson River. http://jerseycity.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp The location was superb , next to the path station and with awesome views of the city.
I didn't mind taking the train to & from NYC at all. It was a nice change to see the people who come from Jersey to work at Manhattan, it was different. The bad part is that you couldn't enjoy the late nights and expect good frecuencies in the public transport. Also that particular area in Jersey isn't exactly safe at night. There weren't many bars (I think it's the financial district) or restaurants. And most of them would have metal fences separating the customer from the seller.
All in all I enjoyed staying in Jersey. The hotel was 40 or 50$ cheaper than the NYC counterpart. But , if you want to enjoy the night I suggest staying in NYC. If you want for instance to go shopping to the bigger Jersey malls like Elizabeth's I guess you won't mind staying in Jersey. The bus station is close nearby and you can take a fancy ride in the public bus :)
Apr 8th 2010 2:03PM It's a tradition in a small village in Spain. They jump the kids in a flat bed on the ground. All the babies born between last year's and the day.
I had never heard of the festivity nor had I heard about the place. Pop. is only 190 ppl in that place, so I doubt the kids even live in the place.
A couple of links to check this strange tradition:
It started in 1651 and it has been carried on until today. Cindy, you can't judge a whole country for a few people, oh well, maybe you're used to that.
Mar 22nd 2010 3:20PM atm Robert Pattison is only a marketing tool. He hasn't done any real acting so far. Playing a trilogy or whatever S.Mayer makes the saga to be doesn't help his growth either since his blockbusters are going to be related to crappy vampires.
Comparing him to Leo DiCaprio is an offense to him. The kid was doing Gilbert Grape and DeNiro's movies and flew away of the biggest bb ever (Titanic). And Clooney is a late bloomer, he became an actor after he did ER for several years...
Nov 5th 2009 6:41AM My favourite routine tonight was Stacey's contemporary. Although Legacy didn't shine, he did a very good job, which is what you can ask of someone who is maturing in SYTYCD. The pointing feet were great in my eye too, that's a clever use of basics.
Wade's routine was great, I understand he is out of the box, you can't say there is much actual dancing on it but the quircky moves usually work. I was really entertained with the mix between music and movement, loved the concept if there was any for real other than Wade's use of a bong.
Regarding ballroom , it just didn't cut it for me. The Tango was disappointing, there was almost none foot work, just a "gancho" which was choppy and predictable. Ok, the gal danced all the time with her dress stuck on the heel but that didn't make it for me. Tango is supposed to be fast although sexy and Ryan is way too stiff for me with those muscles.
Tyce did a crappy job aswell, the music didn't play along with the choreography at all. None of the dancers did any good in my eye neither.
Aug 6th 2009 7:58AM If a remake is going to be made, then let i have the best actresses english-spoken market has in that age range. Rachel Weisz or Kate Winslet could do the part perfectly but maybe they think the original was good enough.
Oct 24th 2008 6:02AM Nate's mom doesn't know he is living in an evicted house. He said in the episode she thought he was living with Chuck.
Oct 5th 2008 7:13AM I thought the show was utter crap. Nothing to get a grip on , she is unbelievable as Bella, she has tanked on any of her recent show appearences (Saved or Greys Anatomy).
The premises are really stupid too, she has to find her soulmate within the year (why? do we care?) amongst previous boyfriends (how can someone so stupid have such a long list?).
CBS has done it again, Moonlight was nice and they replace it with this... good job!
Sep 8th 2008 8:32PM I'd say that was the woman behind the bushes watching the whole thing.
It seems in the novels there are all kind of freaks of nature so that girl might have telekinesis or maybe the dog, someone who has read the novels might through some light...
