May 31st 2010 7:03PM I can't BELIEVE the bar fight scene in Treasure of the Sierra Madre(Humphrey Bogart, Tim Holt, Barton MacLane)is not listed as #1 or close to #1 in this list. It's not flashy and there are no flying Ninjas, but it is as close to the dynamics of a real fight as any you're likely to see on the cinema screen. Karate Kid? Flopping Tigers, Dumping Dragons? You've GOT to be kidding! Ridiculous list.

May 8th 2010 5:09PM James Brown has every right to complain and a legitimate grievance to have his artistry corrupted by groups of thugs and gangsters whose vapid recitations are foisted on the public as some sort of "art". "Say it Loud and Say it Proud" done with great musical style and showmanship as James Brown does is a universe away from the violent, angry, mysoginistic, crude, obnoxious, hate-filled, simplistic, technically puerile and socially destructive rhyming vomited by gun-toting, vengeful, drug-dealing criminals. I, for one, will be ecstatic when this (c)rap fad finally runs its course and true artists can get back to business making good music without being drowned out by a herd of loud, obnoxious, self-indulgent losers.

Dec 24th 2009 2:10PM If Peter Jackson wanted to make a PG-13 movie his daughter could watch, then he should have made another movie, not "Lovely Bones". He's dishonored the author and her craft. This is more like censorship than anything else. I could see changing the plot to accomodate the mechanical aspects of the movie such as tempo, flow or time limitations, but this tampers with content and the author's purpose to inform the reader (viewer).

Nov 15th 2009 1:59PM If you pay attention to what Tundra Barbie actually said in the interview, you'll realize she once again diverted the the focus of the question and never answered it. "Will Levi be welcome at your Thanksgiving table" deserves a simple "Yes" or "No" answer.
Instead all the interviewer and the public got for an answer was a diatribe on how he could be forgiven and how much potential he has to be a wonderful person. What a weasel!
I wonder if she ever figured out what books she likes to read.

What Goldman-Sachs (a financial institution) or the Republican Party (a political organization), for that matter, have in common with religion is totally beyond all reason. All of these crackpots think they have a special pipeline to god. This is just another case of religion being used as the last refuge of a scoundrel. It makes some sense that the financial officer pirates would try to communicate to their Republican supporters in terms they understand. Like Doctor Doolittle, who thought he could talk to the animals, his audience are a bunch of loonies.
