In-Flight Cellphone Calls To Be Allowed On Virgin Atlantic Flights {Gadling}

May 15th 2012 3:13AM This is a terrible idea. I am flying to London in October and will definitely go British Airways now. If this does go through, then Virgin should segregate the cell phone users to their own private part of the aircraft and charge accordingly and leave the rest of us in peace. Richard Branson,where is your head?

AMC cracks down on movie snack-smugglers {WalletPop}

Dec 8th 2009 1:17PM Can AMC say "Download at home"?

They should just raise the prices on tickets and not rely on concessions. I never buy product at the concessions as it is often more than the cost of a ticket and all that soda makes me want to pee in the middle of the film.

Also, films haven't been so good lately with the exception of Doubt, and me and Julia. I am tired of films that rely solely on explosions as the main plot line.

Can Hillary Woo Skeptics? {AOL Elections Blog}

Jul 3rd 2007 2:11PM I was thinking about this the other day and what another Clinton President would be like, and how she will operate in her husband's shadow.

Objectively, Hillary sounds canned. She aooears to read a script well, but if she strayed off script she does not have the talents of her husband.

I support the idea of a woman for President, but I think a Mrs. Clinton administration would eventually appear that she is a puppet of her husband. Not fair comparison for her, but nevertheless something that I think would be asserted. The first woman president needs to get there on her own and stand on a dais by herself. Society will hold the first woman president to a higher standard just because she is a woman. Bill standing behind her is a negative for me. No matter how much I may disagree with President Bush, I still remember how glad I was that Clinton was gone at the end of his term.

There is also a fatigue factor for me. Since 1988, this contry has been run by two political families: Bush and Clinton. If Mrs. Clinton wins, we will have had a minimum of 25 years of the same families running this country.

I want something new, and Mrs. Clinton just harks back to what we have has between the two families. Can't we do better than these two old warhorse families? I sure hope so, and I will have a hard time endorsing the same direction by voting for Mrs. Clinton, the same as I would if Jeb Bush were running. I am just tired of the same old stuff.

Mark Warner Bows Out of 2008 Presidential Race {AOL Elections Blog}

Oct 25th 2006 3:44PM Warner's decision was very wise. I think that he may be a good candidate for the Democrats to run - in the future. But the party still has to decide where it wants to go as a party - center or left. Warner may realize that he didn't want to get caught in the middle of this - discussion - and would rather wait for the two factions to slug it out and emerge in 8 years as a centrist. I fear that the Democrats will take their gains in 2006 as an endorsement of left wing blogs and ruin their chances to be an opposition party in 2008. Let Warner run for governor of Virginia again, gain some political heft - he has only been a four year governor - and come back in 2012. He is young and can build his resume a bit more before going ahead to a bigger office.
