Jan 27th 2011 6:20PM I've been to Waikiki twice and I always tell first-timers who insist on going to keep it to two days max. The North Shore and Lanikai/Kailua areas are much prettier with better beaches. Outside of Waikiki, Oahu is actually a great island to visit. It can't compare to Kauai or the Big Island in terms of sheer beauty or activity, but it's still worth a visit.
Regarding your other destinations, I especially appreciate when your experts offered up alternatives, so thanks!

New UNESCO World Heritage Sites for Ireland? {Gadling}
Jul 18th 2010 12:56AM We spent 12 days in Ireland in November 2009, during what was termed the worst storm of a millennium and even then sites like Cashel and The Burren were simply awe-inspiring (it helped that we had the whole rock to ourselves). Given the history of both locations I can't understand why they wouldn't be contenders for the classification.
