May 7th 2011 10:10AM When will we finally get to a matured state of existence where tobacco smoking is no longer permitted anywhere, period. Its nasty, disgusting, unsafe, stupid, and shows just how slow our society grows and learns.
I notice it mostly on vacation - cruises are horrible about smoking..

I'll never sail them again - one cruise wrecked because of smoke smell is enough for me thank you.

I won't take Princess because of their policies. I hope that new ship of theirs doesn't turn into an ash tray in the first week. Booo..

WWII tours of all kinds are what attract me most to Europe. I can get snooty French treatment anytime, but this might be unique and interesting.

Jan 9th 2011 5:34PM This is BS. Not only is their site too slow to do anything on, but these deals are nowhere to be found. They show orange markings where you *should* get a good deal, but the only deals to be had are for booking out into 2013.
NCL... if your cruises are anything like this deal or your web site, no thanks.

Oct 27th 2010 8:47PM These TSA guidelines are BS. I've been through the line and never ever have been able to leave my iPad in its bag. In fact it usually ends up creating MORE delays as they have to take my iPad back and re-scan it. Yup, even when they pull it out and see that its the same device they allow to stay in the bag, they still re-scan.
Now I have a feeling this has to do with being able to *see* the device (and through it) vs. the fact that its an iPad or Macbook Air. They are thin enough to be scanned but if you have anything around them forget it.
Last time around I had almost nothing in my bag except my iPad so I tried it again.. sure enough they had to bring it back and try again... and this was at the crew entrance (I followed my wife through, who is a pilot... and got her iPad through inside her bag just fine)

Give me a break people... seriously, its not like they are coming to this site and asking you to take down stupid articles like this one. No, they are simply cleaning up their own site. We do the same on our non-profit bike club site... its common practice. Forums aren't always there for complete freedom to spew whatever nonsense you want... apparently thats what tuaw.com is becoming though. Get a life and stop DIGGING for Apple hate.
