Nov 26th 2009 8:16AM They need to revamp the permit system for running the river too. If I want to do it myself the wait for a permit is years and years...but if I have enough money, I can "buy" a trip from a commericial outfitter. The resource does not owe people a living.......make the commerical people apply for permits just like private people!!!

Feb 12th 2009 3:32AM I will NEVER buy another GM auto. I did once when I was young and starting a family. The "service engine soon" light came on while driving home. The exhaust system fell off the first month, the windshield leaked. GM lost a customer and all my family FOREVER. I now buy only Toyota and Honda....Best vehicles made.

Apr 21st 2008 8:44PM What a bunch of bull. Spend it, save it, waste it, it is your money. Do what you want. I for one will take it and tow my drift boat for a couple of days flyfishing on some of the rivers on the Oregon coast.
Heck, it was my money to begin with.

Jul 9th 2007 6:56AM My mother is in her 70s and still likes to camp. Last trip she made was this June she went "helicopter" camping in the Canadian Rockies. It was a commercial trip in which the group was ferried to pre-set camps above timberline along the Canadian Rockies in British Columbia.
Growing up in Utah, we camped alot as a family. Our favorite trips were running the rivers in Utah and Idaho. We had several rafts that we would take down the Colorado, Grean, Main Salmon, Middle Fork of the Salmon....river camping is very pleasant and you can take alot of gear.
