Jul 4th 2010 10:16PM I don't think Korea is a good place to buy electronics at all! I've been to Yongsan and they don't haggle there too much. For the most part any electronic item (mp3, camera, computer etc) that is NOT a Korean brand has a huge price mark up. Korea has extreme taxes on most foreign goods. There are numerous reasons to do this...among them being Korea is extremely skilled at promoting their own companies. Some Korean brand items are decent though such as LG or Samsung other brands are terrible though. You can expect to pay anything from 25 to hundreds dollars more depending on the item. I went expecting good deals, and found most prices expensive for a "market".
