Clear Traveler: Register for a Fast Pass Through Airport Security {Gadling}

Aug 27th 2008 9:03PM I joined Clear Pass and must say that after using it several times at different airports I am MORE THAN THRILLED about the time that it has saved me virtually every time I used it! I found the attendants at the Clear Pass lanes were cheerful and helpful (probably because the work load is way light -- there was NEVER anyone else on the clear pass line!) and helped me through security quickly. I felt like a rock star going to the head of the line EVERY TIME with the Clear Pass attendants carrying my bags and smiling all the way. One flight I had that was in a way overcrowded airport with regular line out the door, saved me at least an hour by using the Clear Pass. I recommend Clear Pass to anyone who has little patience to wait in a line that inches along and would rather sit at the gate relaxing. If you use my Referral Code: SCA20888 when you sign up for the Clear Pass - both you and I will get a FREE MONTH! Thanks and good luck to you!

Rudy's Battle Plan Leaked {AOL Elections Blog}

Jan 2nd 2007 3:37PM As a New Yorker I have seen the good that Guliani has done. And, which candidate doesn't have an agenda and a plan? WHAT exactly was leaked? Is it a surprise that you need $ to fund a campaign? Every single candidate who jumps into the ring is going to need a great deal of money for their campaign. I have seen Rudy turn NYC around and into one of the best cities in the USA - so I think he can take the helm. I'd rather see Mike Blumberg run, but he probably won't. HE would be the man to vote for!

How some merchants prepare for Wal-Mart coming to town {BloggingStocks}

Oct 23rd 2006 10:06AM You are kidding yourself if you think Wal Mart is not a threat to a small local business. Our company publishes business magazines and directories specializing in small businesses and over the 26 years we have been in business I have never heard from a reader who was happy or ambilevent that a Walmart was moving into their area. The mega chain WILL take business away from the small stores because of their skimpy profit margins (relying on volume) and the way they can squeeze their suppliers. I have personally witnessed the demise of many a local downtown shopping area because of the mega chain. Post all you want, but if you ask STORE OWNERS their opinion they will invariably tell you that Walmart means trouble for them. As for the Walmart lovers -- these are the consumers many times who are short sighted to save a few bucks as the money gets channeled out of their neighborhoods and overseas many times. Meantime, their local merchants (their neighbors) suffer. Now, I am 47 years old and remember growing up and having great shopping areas (LOCAL) down the main streets in the Bronx and Queens where my neighbors owned stores and gave a shopping experience. Where do our kids shop now? They will not have the local experience. It's a shame that retailing has taken such a drastic turn.
