Dont take my word for it, google it...99% of owners know the battery life is terrible.
Also, you said something about the side usb port...then forget to elaborate...Is this an incredible cradle with charging capabilities in the photo?

the incredible has terrible battery life...i get 6 hours or less if i use it like any other phone i've ever owned.
