Walmart, Target 'Small Box' Stores to Compete with Small Businesses {AOL Small Business}

Jun 17th 2011 6:58PM If local stores are offering quality goods at a reasonable price and offering good service, WalMart, Target ect don't have a chance. On the other hand, if the Mom and Pop store is offering over priced, out of date goods and not servicing the public properly, they will soon be history.I know of several small hardware stores that have survived and thrived afer Lowe's , Home Depo andsystem 84 came in with hugemegastores.The secret was the small store went out of theirway to find the productthe customer needed.. Scottie and system 84 went toes up and the local Lowes has down sized their staff.

The Next Big Idea? SuiteArrival, Toiletries Delivery for Travelers {AOL Small Business}

May 6th 2011 6:05PM I have found most hotelshave everything I need for free all I have to do is ask. (If the room is more than $50.00 anyway) If you need something unussual, like a replacement charger for cell phone or lap top ask them to see if any in lost and found, ussually they have hundreds, last but not least ask if anybody left cd of movies, music or games, if it is more than a month old they will gie it to you. Have also picked up a nice set of unclaimed raybans that way. Also ask the maid if you want any beer ,wine or champaign, Lots of unopened bottles left in fridge at check out, I tipped maid $10 and had enough for party for 20 one weekend

Steven Spielberg Sets Sail on His New $200 Million Megayacht {Luxist}

Mar 22nd 2011 9:35AM Spend his money for what he want to. I wonder how many aerican that build luxury ships bought tickets to his movies? To bad he couldn't afford to have it made in USA, if he had it made in one o fthe southern ship yards, he wouldn't even had to use union labor

How to Make $500,000 a Year Wearing T-Shirts {AOL Small Business}

Dec 10th 2010 12:45PM I still pefer the Austrailian Bikini girls that wear ads on their bikini bottoms rear and bikini top front, not asmuch ad space, but more time watched (They also go around putting change in parking metters and put little cards under windshield wiper letting driver know who saved them from expensive tickets. I heard their are some girls doing it in Key Westand South Beach Miami as well. I prefer that to junk mail, or to the morons who keep sticking their ads in this reader response colum)

We Moved in Next Door to My Boyfriend's Mom {Lemondrop}

Dec 8th 2010 5:17PM It may be ok while shacking up, but she is setting a dangerous pattern if she ever intends to tie the knot. Mom will become the settler ofarguemnts, in case of seperation, everything is his (even courts can't take away the parents property, when munchkins enter the picture, they will be raised in Grandmas faith,Not paying rent on time to any landlord is a bad habbit to get in to, worse when you get mortgage. Both he and she should be spliting bills now, and utilities, food,insurance ect
Cute picture, makes one think, and if you ever dump him, put me on the waiting list.

ABM Industries' Undercover Boss, Henrik Slipsager, Revisits 9/11 {AOL Jobs}

Dec 6th 2010 4:49PM Here he is , boss of a major corporation, and he has to kiss up to the unions before he can help an employee. Also got to saypaying a guy full time to push buttons on an elevator , may be second biggest waste I have seen after having a fire man (Coal stocker) on a diesel electric engine. If America wants to compete with rest of the world,we need to eliminate the unions and government agency interfearance.
