Jun 23rd 2010 11:17AM I spent nearly $6500 (two operateions two years apart) on my one doberman for cancer treatment (successful thank god). And my other dobie had nearly $4000 worth of surgery for internal bleeding. In both cases I couldn't imagine any other choice.
After the first operation i discovered VPI pet insurance. It helps when this happens although it only helps some...you still end up paying more than half.
