Vanessa Paradis Told Johnny Depp He Has Too Many Hats {Stylelist (Main)}

May 21st 2011 11:14AM First of all..Vanessa is HOT! Had to say it. With regard to the hats she is WAY off. The hats not only look good on Depp, but they are a large part of his image/visage in the public. His stock and trade so to speak. When you develope something that works in defining your look and brand you don't throw it away. You embrace it and ride it all the way to the bank. Unfortunately she does not get that marketing/PR reality. Johnny, keep the hats!!

Patricia Kluge: Billionaire's Ex-Wife Faces Foreclosure {Luxist}

Jan 25th 2011 5:23PM It always amazes me when someone who is blessed by riches can be SO foolish with their money. The wine business is very serious and you can lose really quickly. Where was the business plan (the research on local wines, market pricing tolerance, ideal production quantity based on market demand, ROI analysis, etc, etc..)? I am a serious wine guy (over 23 years and many hundreds of wine reviews) and I would never drink wine from Virginia. Although I am sure there is some good juice from there, it is just not the most ideal terroir for making great wine and certainly has poor visibility among most wine conoscenti.

Check out my wine reviews on cellartracker.com. My user handle is mattshank.

Fannie Mae to Sell Foreclosed Homes With Subprime Lending Terms {Housingwatch}

Sep 8th 2010 9:31PM Are you kidding me?! The old is forever new...these Fannie Mae terms are EXACTLY what got us into this mortgage crisis to begin with! No appraisal? No PMI? Where is the fail safe...oh, that's right, it's us, the taxpayers. Remember November and vote the jerks in office out once and for all!!

BREAKING: Spirit Airlines to charge up to $45 fee for carry-on bags {Gadling}

Apr 7th 2010 5:54PM Right on Jeff. Its time we all voted with our wallets. With regard to the Inkling post (below this one) I think they miss the point...the problem is not that some pack enough for a small army to put in the overhead bins. It is the result of having to pay for checked luggage which should not have occured to begin with. When the airlines were charging far less than they get now for a ticket, and when gas was far more prohibative than now perhaps that was justified. Now it is just plain old price gouging. Hopefully this practice by Spirit Air will not be adopted widely....at some point the customer has to collectively say "Enough !"

Despite Huge Endorsement, Sharapova Earns Early Trip Home {Fanhouse Tennis}

Jan 18th 2010 6:26PM Sadly this MO is a recurrent theme. These atheletes get HUGE deals and then consistantly underperform. They should all be straight commission (ex. pay for performance, and not on future expectation). It would be an interesting study to see how much of what we all pay for our sporting gear and supplies goes to the atheletes. When it comes to these uber-wealthy contracts enough is enough!

Jennifer Garner's Alleged Stalker Arrested Near Violet's Nursery School {PopEater}

Dec 15th 2009 3:24PM Great Alias allusion! Yes, Jack Bristow would have just made this clown disappear.

Hallelujah! Oklahoma busting slow drivers in left lane {Autoblog}

Jan 15th 2008 10:52AM I agree with many of the previous comments. Here in MN we have many "Left Lane Laggards". Makes it hard to open up my Audi A6 2.7T.

Money Losers of 2007: William McGuire surrenders $600 million {BloggingStocks}

Dec 21st 2007 9:27AM Bob Thompson is right. Bill McGuire still has unreal money even after settlement on much of the litigation. It just shows how much is bilked off the American consumer by these PPOs. My health insurance is through a United HealthGroup company and they wanted to ding me $11 for a simple blood test as part of a routine physical yet they can pay their former CEO over $100 million per annum (2006 salary+bonuses). Its ridiculous!!

Meredith Enters Jurassic Park {The Cooler}

Jun 21st 2007 11:05AM After a brief stay in Japan Katie Couric returns with a slightly modified look.
