Dell's XPS One, now in face-friendly 24-inch form {Engadget}

Oct 30th 2008 3:39PM The most important question, which I can't find the answer on in the announcements nor at Dell:

Matte or Glossy?

HP considering netbook / wireless broadband bundles in USA {Engadget}

Oct 30th 2008 8:47AM The problem really becomes the multiple phone contracts ... one home phone, one cell phone, one wireless broadband ... on top of two-year locked-in contracts with huge penalties. Add your broadband and TV and you're looking at $250/mo.

Nanovision's MIMO 7-inch displays are strangely cute, sort of useful {Engadget}

Oct 17th 2008 8:06AM If moderately priced I'll take two. 800x480 is a very useful resolution in that size (OQO - Nokia N series). I have plenty of small data that I'd love to keep an eye on the side, rather than in the background or sidebar taking up valuable real estate.

The only worry I have is burn-in from the continuous displaying of the same widgets and apps in the same location.

Honda reveals all-new JDM Odyssey {Autoblog}

Oct 16th 2008 10:02PM That's no minivan, but a station wagon. Look at the last picture in the gallery. Either those two are giants or I am a midget. I'm 6ft tall and don't stand taller than any of the minivans I have driven.

Apple Store is back online, with changes {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 14th 2008 3:16PM Not that I'm buying this 24" monitor, but how about DVI to mini Display Port?

New Cinema Displays finally arrive with iSight cameras, MagSafe connectors {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 14th 2008 3:13PM There is some (ugly) VESA adapter solution for cinema displays out there.

I looked into it at the time but decided to just put my Cinema Display on a pedestal to raise to a more ergonomic level.

10/14 Apple Event: Who's providing live coverage? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 14th 2008 12:56PM I'm sad already because it looks/sounds like it'll be a two-tone notebook which reminds me of the average HP notebook ... and no mini MacBook, but rather a 24" display.

I might buy the display if it has the right features (not glossy, wide viewing angles without color shifting whatsoever) and I can use DVI to hook up to it.

Could this be the new MacBook Pro? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 14th 2008 8:51AM Whatever this is, I am not liking the black & gray styling of this thing one bit. It looks cheap like any other two-tone pc ...

Seriously, they couldn't match the style of the parts they put together? Of course it will come with matching white cables ;)

I miss the days of the Cube where it all matched.

Oct 14th 2008 8:45AM Sorry, Bart, but to me that is a reflection of the ceiling and a pendent lamp.

MacBook pricing and part numbers? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 14th 2008 8:37AM I was hoping / thinking that:
- either the $800 could be base and then for $900 - $950 you get to step up to the next model.
- or the $800 would be the 10"-11" MacBook

Sounds like neither will be the case.
