Airline Fees: You Get What You Pay For Or Weapons In Travel Class Warfare? {Gadling}

Jul 2nd 2012 8:37AM I would be loyal to airlines, but they have had NO loyalty to me. In 2002 United was talking a merger with USAirways, a major airline in Philadelphia. I had 63,000 miles with United and many miles with USAirways. The way they were talking about the merger it was like they were one airline. So when I flew on USAirways I was thinking that I was being loyal to United as well. Well, in 2002 United took away my 63,000 miles supposedly for inactivity!! I explained to United that it was advertising and acting like United and USAirways were acting like they were already one airline so my activity with USAirways should count as activity on United. I was hot, no amount of phone calls, emails, and letters would get my miles back. I have not flown United since. I have flown a lot of miles since 2002 and United has missed out. I am sure that many people have benefitted from frequent flyer miles, but I am not one of them.

Last 'Survivor' Standing on 'Heroes vs Villains' Finale (VIDEO) {AOL TV}

May 17th 2010 1:54PM In my opinion I believe that Parvati should have won. Even Russell admitted that at the reunion show. Parvati even outwitted Russell. And she was tough and a great competitor winning challenges. While Sandra played her style and won, she did nothing for the game physically. Sandra made a couple of slick moves one being having the immunity idol. Russell was good at stirring up trouble but winning the hearts of the jury is actually part of the game. If there was no jury maybe he would be the best, but since there is a jury he only played part of the game. I say Parvati should have won, hands down.

Survey Shows Not All Frequent Flier Programs Are Created Equal {AOL Travel News}

May 14th 2010 9:17AM I am fed up with frequent flyer miles. I had 63,000 miles with United. I also have 40,000 with USAir. Back when United and USAir were talking about a merge they made it seem like the frequent flyer miles were the same. United took away my 63,000 miles for inactivity even though I was continuing to fly on USAir, an airline that was at the time connected with United. USAir has a hub at my home airport. I am so mad at United for taking away my miles. No amount of letters or calling could get them reinstated. I now stay away from United and will not fly with them unless there is no other alternative. I just can't begin to tell anyone how mad I am at United. I have booked several flights for myself, friends, and family since losing my miles and none of them were on United!!
