Aug 2nd 2012 1:18PM Really like the author's writing style. She should write a book.
Love the passage: ' pieces of this town's life that were never the starting ingredients for someplace else.'
Mar 2nd 2011 12:38PM Go Charlie, kick arse.
My impression of Charlie, after watching these episodes, is that he is a very intelligent and particularly articulate person. His logic may not always be on point but the way he presents his views is quite impressive. The one thing I take issue with is that he would expose his kids to the environment that he has. But then again some say that prostitutes have the biggest hearts. So who is to say? Walk a mile in my shoes, there is always two sides to a door.
May 7th 2010 1:13PM People all this hatred directed at mexicans. Don't you realize that there are illegals from all over the world? Canadians, people from the middle east, haiti, etc.
I agree that anyone wishing to reside and work in the U.S. should go through the process of becoming a legal resident,
but please get your facts straight before sling mud at people of Mexican descent.
As far as the idea that mexicans are taking jobs away from U.S. citizens, these are mostly menial jobs.. The real culprits that are taking away the high paying jobs are from India, China, etc.
The whole problem is that U.S. companies are outsourcing thousands of jobs to other countries so they don't have to pay a higher wage to U.S. citizens. That is the problem, the greedy corporations of America. Write to your congressmen to stop this unfair practice. Put the blame where it really belongs.
