'Neighbor from Hell' Goes To Jail After Harassing Minn. Family {AOL Real Estate}
Jun 4th 2012 8:32PM Why put up with people like this? Matches are cheap.
Top Brands in Kitchen Cookware for Less {Shopping Articles Blog}
Jan 28th 2012 8:04PM Oh, I forgot the three ancient cast iron frying pans I got from my Grandmother...better than new.
Top Brands in Kitchen Cookware for Less {Shopping Articles Blog}
Jan 28th 2012 8:01PM I have several Revere Ware pots and pans that are over 30years old and they're still good as new. For baking, I have plenty of Pyrex dishes and assorted metal pans. I won't be buying any of that super expensive cookware...don't need it.
Bizarre baby names: banned in New Zealand {Gadling}
Jul 21st 2011 5:49PM I frequently read the sunday edition of the local newspaper (a small city of 61,000) because they publish a "births" section. The two, unchallenged winners so far have been "De'Jarius Zaquan" and "La'Darius Jovante" no kidding...I don't recall the last names. So far those are the two most hilarious names I've found.
Restaurant Bans Young Children {AOL Small Business}
Jul 12th 2011 9:15PM I agree with the Vuick fellow 100%. My children are all grown and have their own families now but when they were very young they were taught how to behave themselves out in public, particularly when their behaviour adversely impacted others. Yes, they were the most important things in my life but I realized nobody else thought they were as wonderful as I did. You might say my view was somewhat analogous to that of Galileo when he dared suggest to the pope that the universe didn't revolve around the Earth.
Just In: Kmart to Launch Gordon Ramsey Homewares Line {Shelterpop}
Jul 8th 2011 4:47PM I wouldn't buy an egg timer if it has Gordon Ramsey's name on it. There is NO need to be a scrofulous weasel when you get around other people. Graham Kerr was a famous chef and was invariably polite and kind dealing with other people.
State Laws Punishing Parents for the Sins of the Children {ParentDish}
May 23rd 2011 8:06PM When my kids were still in school I helped them every night with their homework. I excelled in English, History and what we called "civics", but math wasn't my strong suit. I solved that problem by letting THEM teach ME math. They both loved the fact that they were helping ME understand the subject and they both graduated with honors. Sometimes one has to be creative to overcome difficulty. Today they both hold degrees from 4 year colleges and are successful in their chosen fields. Forget the "village" concept. There is no substitute for involved parents.
Nicki Minaj Becomes High School Principal for a Day {Just So You Know}
May 21st 2011 12:57AM She should have spent the day in K4. I doubt she could have kept up in first grade.
Phoebe Prince's Bullies Apologize, Are Sentenced to 1 Year Probation, Community Service {ParentDish}
May 5th 2011 4:14PM What BS.....those little hoodlums should have to spend at least a year in some juvenile detention facility for what they did......in addition their parents should be put in jail for a similar length of time.
Baby Naming Trends in 2010 Set by 'Teen Mom' Stars {ParentDish}
May 5th 2011 3:59PM I read the "births" section in the newspaper just for some light amusement and have discovered the two most outlandish names I've ever seen........De'Jarius Zaquan and La'Darius Jovante....no kidding. What prompts people to give a kid a silly name like those? A child has to carry unfortunate names like this through their lives and suffer the attendant scoffing. One more thing; people who give a boy a name like "Aiden" or "Jayden" should be publicly flogged.
