Apple rumored to be readying Mac mini with HDMI {Engadget}

Mar 1st 2010 4:04PM I have both this and XBox Live, and while I think that Zune Marketplace has a really big advantage in terms of a delivery platform and entrenched market, they are really screwing things up with the Microsoft Points program.

To wit: locate Marketplace (where???) Purchase points (I forget, where?) calculate projected rentals x points + purchases x points. Just charge it like iTunes, and Microsoft can easily dominate with a) the above scenario, and b) Netflix having a greater selection.

Still no fix in sight for Alienware M17x stuttering audio issue, maybe you can help {Engadget}

Feb 12th 2010 12:55PM Apple is always screwing their customers! See, they're greedy!

Stupid fanboy bloggers.

Oh, wait…

Do you hate Apple news? {Engadget}

Jan 30th 2010 5:10PM Thank. Fucking. God.

Goodbye, haters.

Welcome to the next Engadget {Engadget}

Nov 20th 2009 1:38PM Everything is well-designed; kudos.

The only issue I have is that now that each commenter line is in serif, it's very hard to read in italics (not much of a problem in books). Additionally, large-type, small-type "Posted", large date in the serif makes it somewhat less readable.

Are you considering:
a) expanding oft-replied comments by default
b) allowing a default expansion count for each post (a lá Slashdot)
c) or a combo of above (show the highest ranked, but cut off -- Digg)

Thanks!

Oct 28th 2009 3:24PM I've never had problems with "Save A Copy…" and "Save As…" for well over a decade.

Hammer for a tweezer job, if you ask me. :)

Think about that for a second.

OK, really, do you think this is a wise marketing tactic? Am I missing something?

Apple's Magic Mouse: one button, multitouch gestures, Bluetooth, four-month battery life {Engadget}

Oct 20th 2009 12:47PM I had that same experience too, hence why it's my travel mouse, instead of my 'regular' mouse (which right now is the small Logitech V470), which albeit usable, its dimensions leave it pretty cramp-y.

Apple's Magic Mouse: one button, multitouch gestures, Bluetooth, four-month battery life {Engadget}

Oct 20th 2009 12:06PM Question: Anyone know if the right click can be simultaneous (unlike the old Mighty Mouse)?
Meaning: if you left-click hold, will the right-click still work (I'm thinking nade-cooking in CoD; yeah, I know. I'm ancient.)

Thanks.

Using FireWire to help speed up the iTunes Home Sharing process {TUAW.com}

Sep 18th 2009 12:02PM Frankly, I don't bother with Home Sharing, other than the file-sharing kind.

I have a server setup with hard drive access. Anyone can purchase an NAT instead and provide mount-on-your-desktop server space for users. Copy music on to this device.

Then, in iTunes uncheck "Copy music", and drag song files from the music share to your iTunes library. If you want to copy the music to your computer, check the box.

Now, you will have hard drive space free, but music available to your computer. The disadvantage is that you will not have it copied to your computer, but you have an iPhone or iPod that synced anyway, right?
