Norwegian Epic cruise ship - Blue man Group, 21 restaurants and Nickelodeon at sea {Gadling}
Apr 3rd 2010 6:19AM Hi Pat,
I have sailed on the Oasis a couple of times, and I must say your decision of The Caribbean or Transatlantic is a tough one to make. On one hand, you have five or six sea days to make the most of everything the Epic has to offer, yet risk getting bored. Or do you cruise the Caribbean and only get three sea days and don't get a chance to experience everything onboard. Well to answer you honestly, there's a reason we went back to the Oasis for a second cruise. Once just wasn't enough. Have you been to the Caribbean before. If not, I recommend doing the the Caribbean cruise. No matter what ship you're on, two many sea days without a port can be too much and a bit boring. One of the best parts about cruising is seeing new places as well, and St Maarten and St Thomas are very nice. I've done many Transatlantics, but give me a regular cruise anyday.
As for the Oasis not being able to port in certain locations, yes you are correct. And not being able to tender also limits it's port of call options. Trying to get that many people off onto tender boats would be a logistical nightmare.
Anyway, which ever cruise you decide on, I'm sure you will have a ball. The Epic does sound exciting and something I'm looking forward to myself.
Take care and smooth sailing.
