Sep 27th 2011 4:31PM I know my commercial airplanes, from crj to airbus, but since you mentioned it and you fly the type i thought i'd ask... Why does the 767 have forward tiled main gear, and the 757 have rear tilted main gear? I've always wondered this!!

The auto brakes aren't affected by the nose wheel's placement are they? Second, why does the MD-80 have to have its nose wheel on the ground to use reverse thrust?
