Travel agents: The dinosaur you just might need {Gadling}
Mar 16th 2011 1:47PM When I began working as a travel agent I was surprised to learn that prices I could offer were mostly the same as the internet sites. When there was a price advantage it was most often one I could offer (especially in upgrades and added amenities). Book on the online sites and you get a room. Book with a good agent and you get a better room, and service before and after you buy.
What is "Travelers Night In"? {Gadling}
Apr 21st 2010 4:41PM Thanks @Gadling for a great explanation of #TNI. Now I can just send a link to all those who ask "What's #TNI?" every Thursday I join in. I also get a few Twitterrhea complaints when I join in on #TNI. Who can jump into that fast moving and fascinating gab fest without flooding the nearest stream? Not me! My goofy schedule looks like I will finally be free to throw my two cents in this week! I can't wait to tweet you there!
Travel trends: Are you a "Four-Percenter" when it comes to travel? {Gadling}
Mar 28th 2010 1:16PM I am surprised that more four percenters book online than casual travelers. Most of the clients I served as a travel agent fit the frequent travel profile. I am a four percenter myself. Very interesting post!
